:heh:

Antonio Margarito stood 5'11 and outweighed him by 17lbs on fight (165 pounds to Pac's 5'6 148 pounds)....and Pacquiao broke his face effectively ruining his career:wow:

Hell, in Pacquiao's last fight (November 2014) he knocked down Chris Algieri 6x, who stood 5'10 155 lbs on fight night while Manny was 149lbs.

that era don't count, especially when he had "extra" help:mjpls:

Moving up in wieght really isnt that hard for most boxers, as in gaining... just look at there walk around wieght... for example broner was walking around at 170, im sure he can come in and fight at 154 and still look pretty solid looking, depending how hard he works.

Things will come into play as in will his power move up, speed stay intact... all this stuff matters depending on the atlhlete... also he will be naturally the smaller guy.

Go ahead and dig those up for me friend.

Only on the coli is a full destruction and making a nikka who has never quit say "no mas" on his stool looked at worse than a 12 round sparring match decision. :beli:

Right cuz its hard work knocking out a Fighter who loses weight after the weigh in... while on IVs all day leading up to the fight :camby:

We've never seen drained fighters easily get ktfo before :rudy:

Cotto kos That DLH...Margs Kos that DLH...Shane Kos that DLH...Any fighter worth a damn at that time Kos a nikka walking into a Welterweight fight losing weight on an IV instead of rehydrating

As far as that IV you keep up bringing PLENTY of fighters use IVs after they make weight. One of the female mma fighters at the gym I go to does it all the time. You think Mr Chavez Jr who you stan so much is gaining 30lbs overnight in food and drink? :sas1:

I'm still waiting on those posts you said about you slandering the Floyd/Canelo catch weight :francis:

floyd vs dlh was a DUD in terms of action/excitement especially after the press/attention it got; he outboxed him over the distance..cool

oscar-pac was easily the more impressive win over dlh....he destroyed him....i also learned a valuable gambling lesson that night (i bet on oscar :beli:)

Mayweather: Pacquiao Worried, I'm Not Weight Drained
Posted by: Miguel Rivera on 3/12/2015 .

By Miguel Rivera
WBA/WBC welterweight and junior middleweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. says Manny Pacquiao is very worried about their upcoming fight. On Wednesday, the two boxers came face to face during their only press conference until the week of their fight on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao, who holds the WBO's version of the welterweight title, claims he was more worried when he was facing common opponents like Oscar De La Hoya and Miguel Cotto. Pacquiao faced De La Hoya at 147-pounds and fought Cotto at 145-pounds. He stopped them both. Mayweather fought both of them at the junior middleweight limit of 154 and won competitive decisions over both.

Mayweather disputes Pacquiao's claim, stating the Filipino star is worried because he knows Mayweather won't be "weight-drained" like De La Hoya or Cotto.

"Not true [that he was more worried about them]. I see in his eyes. I can read his body language. He's very worried. He's worried, he's worried. I don't take anything away from him. I don't take any fighter for granted. I never overlook no opponent but I've been in there with everybody. When I fought Oscar De La Hoya, he outweighed me by twenty pounds. When I fought Miguel Cotto, he outweighed me by twenty pounds," Mayweather told TV Azteca.

"I didn't fight De La Hoya at a catch-weight. I didn't fight Cotto at a catch-weight. He knows, as a champion, that if a guy loses so much weight he will be totally drained. He is fighting a guy [on May 2] who is a solid welterweight. I've talked about great, legendary Mexican champions. I've seen [Morales] outbox him. I've seen Marquez beat him also. I study. I watch very, very close.

"He's never faced this style before. He makes a lot of mistakes and I will capitalize on those mistakes. Once Alex Ariza left Manny Pacquiao he stopped getting knockouts. That's saying something. That's saying a lot."

Okay, yes...Pacquiao fought Cotto at a 145 catchweight (2 lbs under the Welterweight limit) and Floyd is saying here that, "He knows, as a champion, that if a guy loses so much weight he will be totally drained." right?:mjpls:

So, the fact that Floyd fought Canelo at a 152 catchweight (2 lbs under the Junior Middleweight limit) means that Floyd KNEW, as a champion, that if Canelo lost so much weight he will be totally drained:sas1:

If Floyd is gonna use that against Pacquiao for Cotto, it should be okay for the #CaneloCartel to use that same reasoning against Floyd for Canelo.:sas2:

Floyd isn't placing blame on Manny for "making" them fight at a certain weight, he's simply stating that he fought Oscar and Cotto at their natural weights at 154 and Manny didn't regardless of WHY. I don't see what the big deal is. Canelo SAID himself that he would fight Floyd at a catch weight to make the fight happen, so the same way Oscar and Cotto take the blame for coming in under weight, why isn't Canelo held to the same standards? Floyd didn't make him come in at 152, he didn't have to take the fight. Now the Marquez fight was all Floyds fault, bottom line, no excuses.

I liked both fights but in no way is Floyd's win over him better in any form. We've never seen Oscar beat up like that.

Yup but since Oscar used an IV Manny's win over him is null and void :francis:

Page 431 on the main thread May 30th 2013

First thngs First I am against catchweights N I don't like this fight being at 152

Do I see why its at 152 yes of course Floyd is a 36 yr old WW fighting a 22 yr old JMW who on fight night weighs 170

Plenty more times I said I didn't like the CW this happens to be Right when it was announced :beli:
