Half of their matches have been on clay which gives nadal a lopsided advantage when it comes to looking at their head to head cos NOONE and I mean NOONE is going to dominate or even beat nadal on clay consistently...hence why hes the GOAT on that surface. Niccas forget federer was whooping EVERYONE else on clay except nadal. As soon as nadal wasnt there in the final he won the french open. also just to emphasise how much his clay court dominance schewes his numbers, out of his 14 grand slam titles...9 are from clay court. That's 64% of his titles coming from 1 surface out of the four...thats damn near 2/3's of his grand slam totals
on 1 fuccin surface
Meanwhile federers sh1ts are spread out pretty evenly except for the french open for obvs reasons (4 australian, 7 wimbeldon, 5 us, 1 french) showing his all round game is god tier...whilst also having the most grand slam titles of ANY MAN EVER (that alone tells you he's goat and best of his era)...he equalled sampras's total wimbeldon tally and equalled borgs wimbeldon streak, has been in the most grand slam finals, got the most hard court titles, got the most grass titles, got the most match wins (279), got the goat us open gram slam streak (5), has the goat win %'s on grass AND hard court, won the most consrcutive finals, semi finals, has the goat us open streak, has reached the most finals ON ALL 4 SURFACES, has the most multiple years winning MULTIPLE gram slam you really check dat boys stats cos im only scratching the surface my nicca

Also, acting like head to head stats solely determines whose the best of an era is supremely flawed in a sport like tennis or even with boxing cos another example i can bring up is that nadal stylistically is federers nightmare. The strengths of his game specifically attack federer's weakest points. The fact federer had the skill and ability to seitch his whole style up only for nadal matches and get wins against him even accenuates his GOATness.
Also...nadal and federers true peak primes missed eachothers...nadal came into what we see as his prime thus far on the back end of rogers.
This post btw is not dimishing nadals achievements, atg status etc but his clay court goatness really lopsides his status because hes been basically garaunteed a grand slam a year whilst not dominating any other surface to any real degree.
Roger has clapped everyone that stood before him on every surface (bar nadal on clay) and there's a reason why your opinion is not the majority and mine is

)...he has the GOAT and longest streak of being ranked no.1 (237 consecutive weeks (2004-08)) thats 4 YEARS and some change
...he was a couple of months away from being ranked no.1 for half a decade
