right the fights have all been competitve and close, but he still won... he could have went on after the second victory never fighting him agian and been good.Well Manny has never "clearly" beat JMM....ever. Same cannot be said about JMM

Pacquiao was dropped from the No. 1 spot on the pound-for-pound rankings of both Yahoo! Sports and ESPN.com and replaced by Floyd Mayweather, who scored a one-sided decision over Marquez in 2009.
Nicca what? That is a great analogy. The thing that hurts Roger though is how can you be considered the best ever when you aren't the best in your era. Not to mention, Rafa is amazing on clay. Both (Floyd and Roger) are known to have the best (right hand, forehand). That being said, there is a truism that works in all sports. Great defense beats great offense. That is why Nadal continues to get the best of Roger and why I'm fairly confident of the result in May.
You always post this bullshyt and I have to keep pointing out that those were Schaefer GOLDENBOY writers, so off jump its going to be a baised opinion being that this was deep in the middle of the cold war between TR and GB.. Of course GB writers would call it a robbery
- HBO polled a group of boxing writers and experts after the fight: 46% saw Marquez winning, 42% saw it a draw and 12% saw Pacquiao winning.
Always impressive breh. But, the question was can he win off activity alone....and the answer is yes.
If Floyd is content to try and potshot all fight, and if Manny is constantly coming foward...pressuring him/swarming him, throwing 2x the amount of punches per round, yes, he can steal the rounds and ultimately steal the fight. We just seen Maidana almost do that in Floyd vs Maidana 1 off of activity alone.
Speaking of activity, in their last 3 fights respectively, Pacquiao is averaging 56 punches thrown a round (672 a fight) while Floyd is at 34 punches a round (408 a fight). That's a telling stat being that in 2 of those 3 fights, Floyd was fighting a pure pressure fighter (a MUCH lesser fighter than Pacquiao skill wise) and struggled heavily with Maidana's awkwardness and pressure before finally adjusting in round 6 of the 1st fight. Fight was a MD and most people, even though feeling Floyd won, had it a 7-5/8-4 affair......against Marcos Maidana. Manny Pacquiao is a whole 'nother beast and if Maidana can get 5 rounds, Pacquiao can steal the fight from Floyd if Floyd isnt on point. Plus the judges usually prefer Manny's forward aggressive style to Floyd's potshot and move style....and we know why that is
So yes. Manny CAN win off of activity alone. Throwing 18 more punches a round, for 12 rounds, adds up to 216 more chances the judges can see Pacquiao land some good shots and the crowd can scream and go over it, even punches he miss....swaying the judges' opinions.
Floyd is gonna have to be DEADLY accurate and landing FLUSH with power behind it if he's gonna fight his normal slow paced, counter style against Pacquiao, or he can be outworked imo.
Im personally expecting Floyd to do just that though
marquez won 2 3 and 4 very clearly in my eyesSo what... you had to face Maidana twice... Devon Alexander.. only one time..
Ho ass nikka
Less than 50% saw it as a win for Marquez.... For the fight to be a robbery you would need at least half of the writers/experts having Marquez as the winner... All you've proven is that only 46% saw Marquez as the winner... Thats not the majority... MARQUEZ AINT WIN shyt.. GTFOH
Even HBO got the same results

What you said just made absolutely no sense
If out of 100 people polled, 46 saw Marquez as the victor, 42 saw it as a draw, and 12 saw it as Pacquiao winning....the majority ALWAYS wins.
The majority of boxing writers watching Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez 3, saw JMM winning
He won that fight unofficially and was robbed
Dead at only 12% thinking Pacquiao won compared to 46% for JMM....but yet Pac got a UD
