I'm comparing him to the other QB on the team not MVP unless you saying Love is an MVP candidate. They overpaid for Love so far.
How so? They sitting at 6-2 and Love has 2nd most TDs. Wheres the part they over paid him for? U act like we losing games and Love sucks. Just said ur a hater or a moron who doesnt know football and keep it moving

Jordan also leads the league in INTs and that’s with 2.5 less games

He still has the same issues we’ve seen for awhile, and that’s decision making especially down the field

So does mahomes. QB play is atrocious league wide. It isnt exclusive to one player

A lot of football people say that INT alone is a flawed metric that people love to talk about.
For example competition on third down and completion % being equally if not more important.

Mahomes actually has his highest completion percentage in his career.

But also Baker Mayfield has as many INTs but his completion percentage is 70+%, so his passer rating is higher than Brady had in all but 3 seasons.

Then you start looking at other metrics like QBR, and you see that Mahomes has a much higher QBR than Love but much lower passer rating.

Metrics or not, we dont have a shytty QB and im fine with his first 3 years only accounting for 20 millions towards the cap. Thats the thing people dont realize when they see the signing numbers. We arent being held in cap hell because of Love. Hes like the 13th highest paid QB in 2024. We can always offload him in 2027 if he dont work out.

I don't know how good or bad he will be when his contract advances.

This is just like stocks, they bet on his potential and the market for people with potential is obviously small. It's not like RBs when dudes coming outta college swinging, most young guys are below average at best. And it's not like the proven old heads are much better right now.

So as far as the numbers goes, the economics likely make sense.

Now you might have a better read on his potential than the FO:s of the NFL, that's another story :hubie:

I agree with this take. Paying him was the right move for Green Bay at the time and still looks like it is a good move.

However the league really was ready to crown dude off a decent year plus beating Dallas in the playoffs

They gave them a big nationally broadcast season opening game and at least in my recollection everyone in the media was picking them to win leading up to it.

But just because the media was trying to crown him early doesn't mean his contract was/is terrible when he hasnt delivered.

Hes getting paid like a top 15 QB and by the time his contracts done you'll see random guys getting paid way more off a string of four good games.

Nah that cac trash trash

Hes not a replacement level quarterback which this year is like... idk Gardner Minshew?

I think nondelusional Giants fans would prefer to have Minshew

I think JLove is well above replacement level. And in the NFL it takes a $200m contract to keep someone around whose well above replacement level.
