I wasn't digging Pac when he dissed Cube. Cube was throwing up the W when Pac was in Jail. The Westside Slaughter House came out when Pac was hanging out with East Coast dudes wearing Carl Kanias. The first time i saw and heard anyone throwing up the W was on Cube's Lethal Injection album.

RIP to Tupac, but it's obvious he was stepping in some shyt he wasn't fully aware of and which ultimately led to his early demise.

'prime Jay' already dissed a dead Pac with a pointless song that made no waves compared to LKG

Rakim isn't a battler like that and would just have brushed him off

Pac was an emotional disser let's be real, LL broke down a bunch of dudes when it counted in his era and could have done Pac still

you're right that the people who were really feeling hit em up etc would have been with Pac regardless but I'm comparing song skills

Id say far as battle skills Jay wuz in his prime around the time he battled Nas,and id still say Takeover wuz the better diss....and had he been the underdog he clearly woulda won that...the disses on that record or more clever, disrespectful and creative concept wise then just about any diss record since No Vaseline, just the total package of a diss.

LL coulda been entertaining but he wuz on In The House at the time but succesful enuff he wouldn't have had the underdog thing goin for em like he did when he battled Canibus....let's be honest bein the underdog gives a great advantage in the battle....pac had a way of always comin off as the under dog which is tuff to beat when the nikka is very capable...skillwise I will actually concede L might have a shot, but lyrically he wuz kinda on sum bullshyt around this time, very corny...he released that song Phenomenon right around Pac dyin I wanna say:laff:...this nikka knocked himself out with that song:snoop:

Had too much dirt on biggie....alotta the public saw it as Pac battlin the evil empire, wuz a very capable battle rapper, interviews wuz comedy, how could he lose?u gotta add all the factors in.

LL would demolish 2Pac. Are you on crack?

What exactly could 2Pac diss LL about in 1996?

LL got more bytches, more money, more respect, more classics, more legendary status. What would Pac's angle be?

LL could have a field day with how phony Pac was.

:pachaha:

Didn't LL lose to Canibus who was not nearly as well known as Pac, LL has all those things you mention over Canibus and still lost a rap battle to him.

Pac had just as many bytches, Pac appeared to be eating good with his rented mansion from Death Row and with his leased cars. Its not like LL would have access to Pac's bank account to know he was broke.

He could have just call him gay or something for being a muscle head.

Pac battling LL, Biggie, Jay Z, Mobb Deep, Rakim, KRS would have been too much to overcome if they would have been firing diss songs at him at the same time, he would gotten Ja Rule'd.

Also he was about to start beefing with Snoop and I'm pretty sure Snoop and Dre would have did a collab song dissing Pac....

Pac gave them maaad respect on Old School..go listen to that track on Me Against the World, and in return most of those east coast hoes sneak dissed him interviews.

LOL @ thinking Pac was doing it for sales when he already was an established platinum artist by the time he got out of jail and dropped all eyez on me.

And even in this interview..He clearly stated that he looked up to Cube..Pac was always respectful in a disrespectful way..that was his character..he was a complicated dude, man.

We missed out on a lot of great things from him.

Yeah Cube didn't create the W sign. It's an LA thing, but he brought it out to the general public outside of LA.

Thats disrespectful and while Pac was the best at making emotion driven songs, Rakim is the most skilled rapper ever. He would chew up Pacs dead flesh and bones and spit them out into Afeni's TV dinner

How is it disrespectful to say that you would diss somebody who disses you...?

Explain that to me...

Notice how he was going after his predecessors and not one word against Wu Tang.

Pac had love for the Wu, Method Man had a verse on AEOM.

Breh in this same interview he talks about making one of those Death Row goons give back a chain that he took off of a Wu nikka.

pac would have been dead either way. i think dude had a death wish because he knew that he couldn't do what he was doing without making enemies.
i think pac death wish had more to do with the fact he knew he would have had to finish his jail sentence in NY after his appeal would have got turned down.....pac got touched up b4 and knew he would have been hoe cakes back in clinton max after all the fraudelent talk.........dont think he would have survived more than a few months upstate in elmira or clinton when his appeal got denied honestly

It's sad to see how little people really know about Pac, even on a board like this. Most cats have a completely one-dimensional vision of what he was about and grossly misinterpret his every action and word.
And then people wonder why hip hop is dead, when people are more interested in learning about new wack artists instead of studying its legends..
