Wow, they killed it. Actually watched the whole thing. That smooth jazz/city pop :wow: you know somebody about to sample something from them.

That bassist though :wow: it was five string on top of it.

I always wanted to learn to play the saxophone, so I'm a little biased and she killed it here too:

Additionally that singer from that last video got some really nice tone:

If you really want to dive deeper there's one band you need to know, Casiopea.

:banderas:

Glad I'm not the only fan of some of these Japanese Jazz Fusion bands.

I've been listening to a lot of Masayoshi Takanaka and Casiopea lately.

This must be the golden age of being producer when it comes to sampling. I find myself getting into music just from YouTube algorithms that I would never had listened to or known about before. Don't have to go through old crates of vinyls at the local record store anymore. You have the whole world of music at your finger tips now.

Speaking of, what are Jamiroquai's funkiest tracks?
I got you:
Space Cowboy

Canned Heat

Little L

Bonus: There's a house dj that I subscribed to years back that sampled his music.
Jabig

I literally have a whole Playlist with maybe at least 100 songs dedicated to funkadelic music on Spotify.
