P-Valley - Mississippi Strip Club TV Series (Starz/July 12th/Trailer)

I don't get the point of this show.
It takes place in a strip club, but there's barely any nudity.
The bouncer has ptsd & is a wierdo.
I don't know if LisaRaye Lite or the treh is the main character.
There's almost no character development.
A hardcore Southern gangster rapper likes bussy (#DatAgenda)
There's a treh walking around a small Mississippi town and running a strip club (#DatAgenda)
The OG dancer is supposedly leaving the club, but they seem to be making her the series villain.
Great Value LisaRaye is a possibly homeless wierdo, and they never even mention her name until the end of the episode.
One of the dancers is getting beaten by her boyfriend, but she's fine after a 3 minute speech by the treh.
One episode in, and this show is an unfocused mess. I'll give it one more episode to get better. If it doesn't then I'm bushing it.

I'm starting believe what I read on a top exec in Hollywood about the agenda.. By 2025 there will be some type of homo representation in every major TV show

So...a lot of women on Twitter (Ava Duvernay included) are raving about the show. According to them, the theme of the series is to show the humanity of sex workers.
That would be cool, but I didn't really get that vibe from the first episode. If that's the story the director wants to tell, I hope we get more character development in the upcoming episodes.
