Yooooo

Chill

Lol

Brady lost a 21-3 lead too.

It happens

True dat, but Brady rebounded from that multiple times over...

Will Mahomes? We have a real trend of sloppy-to-disastrous play the higher the stage gets---->'19 Super Bowl was ass first 3 quarters; complete garbage in '20 Super Bowl; All-Time choke at home today in the '21 AFCCG...

There was never a 3-consecutive season streak of Brady melting on the bigger stages like this. Cats need to stop trying to compare him to Brady period, Mahomes is not That Guy...

But you can't make this thread directly after this loss.

At least revisit this in like 3 years man.

Also, Brady went 10 years without a superbowl win.

Brady fukked up plenty AND is involved with 2 major controversies that he may have benefitted from in the past.

I think you ovrrrating Brady to keep Mahomes down. He got the best start in NFL History stats and accomplishments wise

Tom’s got multiple wins in the playoffs including SBs with performances similar to this one. Especially early in his career, we just don’t remember because someone else stepped up and they ended up winning

When Brady became Brady, beginning in 2004, show me the 3-consecutive season streak of sloppy-to-disastrous play in the postseason...

Not gonna hold the Denver 05 game against him because he was never gonna undefeated in the playoffs BUT starting in the 06 divisional round…

27/51 2 TDs 3 picks on the road against the Chargers including the pick that should have sealed the game but SD’s corner fumbled it back to them to get another shot. Then they blew a lead of the same amount of points the Chiefs led by today against the Colts the next week.

07
smoked the hapless Jags in the divisional round but threw ANOTHER 3 picks in the AFCCG against SD but the D only allowed 12 points so they still pulled it out. Only scored 14 in the SB with what at the time was the greatest offense in history

09
smoked by the ravens at home throwing another 3 picks and scoring only 14( he’s coming off an ACL so maybe you can give him a pass)

10
L to the Jets at home coming off an MVP season in a game that wasn’t as close as the score looked, got a garbage TD at the end to get over 20 points

11
Ran it up in the divisional round against a Tim Tebow led broncos team but 0 TDs and 2 picks against Baltimore and was saved by a WR dropping the game winning TD/ their DB making a play. THEN BMore’s kicker missed a FG to send it to overtime. Scored 17 in the SB against the Giants

12
Lost AFCCG at home to the Ravens scoring only 13.

Could keep going too, there was a stretch there where Tom was meh at best in the biggest games, and this doesn’t even include the ones before and after where they ended up winning despite that fact

Precisely. I actually like Burrows more than Mahomes but respect the hell out of Mahomes’ talent. A lot of QBs are victims or beneficiaries of circumstance regardless of talent. It’s way too early to anoint or denounce any of these young QBs without seeming either foolish or like a dikkhead.

And I seriously doubt we’ll see another choke this embarrassing in our lifetimes:

Coming off Spygate, with the Patriots having a stacked squad and running up scores weekly to prove a point, a juggernaut about to go undefeated and make the ‘72 Dolphins an afterthought… and that dude laid an absolute egg against a 10-6 wild card team.

You haven't been paying attention because I know you been watching football for years.

2006 AFC Division game Brady threw 2 TD and 3 INT against the Chargers. The last should have been a game loser but Troy Brown bailed him out.
The next week the Pats were up 21-3 just the same as the Chiefs were and the Pats lost. Granted, there were some bad dropped passes. But, Brady was also the beneficiary of his defense's pick six.

2007 AFC champ game, Brady again throws 3 INTs to the Chargers but NE wins 21-12.
During Super Bowl week, Plaxico predicts the Giants will beat the undefeated Pats 23-17. Brady scoffs and says "We're only going to score 17 points? okay..." and says something like "at least give us some credit, why not 45-42?" Man low key shat on his defense. Meanwhile, the Pats didn't score even 17. They scored 14 smh

2009 Ray Rice PUNCHED NE in the mouth on the first play from scrimmage and Brady played like a p*ssy. The Ravens pushed the Pats' offense's shyt in. They lost like 33-14 or something.

2010 the Pats were flying high at 14-2 and facing the Jets in the Pats first game. "how are the NYJ going to close that 42 point gap after that 45-3 primetime ass whupping?" was the narrative all week. The Patriots were driving and Brady made a poor pass that got INTed on a screen.
Brady saw ghosts and got sacked 5 times that game, mostly from coverage sacks.
NYJ won 28-21 and the score made the game seem closer than it was. ask @NYC Rebel I bet that was one of his favourite games.

Man dem convenienly forget about Brady's struggles. And if not for Brother Malcolm Butler, we'd be saying Brady had 2 bad INTs in the SB against the Seahawks that were costly too. He threw an INT near the goal line in that game, as did Russ', but obviously Russ' is magnified.

Fair enough, appreciate the reminders! Actually after I typed my post I went back and reminded myself, my brain forgot some of these things with how Brady bounced back from them. He bounced back so maybe Mahomes will too...

Before reviewing history the only ones I remembered off top were the Giants losses and the '09 Ravens loss which is probably the worst I could recall ever seeing Tom play. I remember some of these a little better now seeing the games but for some reason I don't remember Brady being the primary reasons for these Ls in real time. I wasn't paying attention!

Rep on both...
