Over a decade and a half later, how do we feel about Master P's "Ghetto D" album?

i could never understand why they alwayz compared this ghetto D to juve 400 degreez

1 was a weed plate
the other was a all time classic
ghetto d is better. better production, more sonic, more creative and its more cohesive :yeshrug:

southern classic, but not in my personal top 5 from No Limit

C-Murder - Life Or Death
Mac - World War 3
Young Bleed - My Balls & My Word
Fiend - There's One In Every Family
TRU - Tru 2 Da Game
>>>>>>>>>>>>> Ghetto D or any Master P album
:snoop:
in hindsight, Silkk shoulda got a guest star credit ala Ghostface on Cuban Linx. Dude was on 11 songs.

juve 400 degrees is one of my favorite albums - IMO i never felt master P/no limit, i did respect his/their hustle but the music was awful in my opinion

Man...... I wont front, later I did come to appreciate Juvie but at 1st I thought that dude was garbage and them Mannie Fresh beats was terrible.

I didnt later like the shyt Fresh did for Juvie but that then I could easily take that Beats By The Pound sound over Mannie any day.

Dont get me wrong.... at 1st I didnt like P either.... but one day I just sat down and started listening to his shyt..... probably started with the Bout It soundtrack..... then movie.... then after that.... it just blew up for me

Ghetto D is a classic south CD

Burbons & Lacs for sure

Also a big fan of After $ No Cents, which previously appeared on the Southwest Riders compilation by Sick Wid It Rec. (full version iirc!)

Thats also my fav song from the album :wow:
I listened to that track so much but it never gets old, certfied CLASSIC song.

My ratings for the individual tracks would be:

Ghetto D - Great song, one of my favs, the concept is very cool and EVERYONE went in on this track, especially silkk actually offered a great verse :wow:
Lets Get Em - Beat is very hard, p's and especially Mystikals Parts are dope, but Silkk fukks his part up. Another downside is the annoying ass "Ughh" in the chorus, coudlve done without that.
I Miss My Homies - Classic song, smooth beat & P & Pimp's verses were strong, Silkks is meh tho
We Riders - Another dope track, strong verses & hook
Throw Em Up - One of my fav tracks on here, the beat is great and has a very nice feeling to it, and P's verses are dope aswell as kane & abels (which one of them is actually rappin here ? :ohhh:)
Tryin 2 Do Something - Smooth track, not one of my favs tho, nothing to criticize really everyone comes correct just not one of my favs
Plan B - Hard song aswell, but again not one of my favs. Mia X & P make for a good combo here tho
Weed & Money - Catchy song, Silkks verse is strong on here
Captain Kirk - Nice track, Mystikal absolutely murders this one
Stop Hatin - Another one of my Fav tracks on here, I absolutely love this beat and everyone came strong on this one. Also my ringtone :russ:
Eyes On Your Enemies - Hardcore song right here, but again not one of my fav songs dont listen to it that often
Make Em Say Uhh - Classic song, only thing that fukks me up is silkks part which is totally whack, the rest goes in, especially mystikal who murders it again
Going Through Somethangs - Another one of my fav songs, beat is dope af and p, ed & serv all have dope verses
Only Time Will Tell - Deeper track, very calm & reflective
After Dollars No Cents - Dope ass track, hard beat & both p & silkk came hard, especially silkk
Gangstas Need Love - Also on my most liked songs, kinda cheesy but still catchy af & a nice lil throwback
Pass Me Da Green - Dope, the beat is hard af and p kills it
Come And Get Some - Nice lil song, very short but everyone came correct & the beat is hard
Bourbons & Lacs - My fav track on here, the beat is SMOOTH AF & gets me nostalgic everytime and everyone on here offers some nice verses, hook is also GREAT, I blazed up to this so often in the summertime damn :wow:

My top 5 tracks on here would be :

1. Bourbons & Lacs
2. Stop Hatin
3. Ghetto D
4. Throw Em Up
5. Gangstas Need Love
(6). Going Through Somethangs
