The Japanese are a very homogeneous and insular people. They don't usually fukk with anything foreign. There is a reason Xbox was always destined to fail in Japan no matter what they do. Koreans and the Chinese are a little more open to foreign things.

Apex being that high isn't surprising. Its still big now in Japan. I'm actually suprised #1 wasn't a Dragon Quest game but the fact that they are all over the list, and still made #2, shows how big the franchise is.
