Sting came up LONG before you heard of John Cena...he was never anything like that chump. He lost alot. He got Flair back over as heel and the Steiners were never cheered outright over Sting. Great Muta outperformed everyone on the roster and maybe in the world at the time. He was revolutionizing the business for Japanese wrestlers. He had more memorable matches with Sting than anyone else he came across though.

Period :heh:

Now I admit the crow gimmick is classic but Borden is buns outside of that. Facts are facts...

He borrowed his name from a soft rock singer, scust. I recall him wearing hotel luggage carrier jackets with sparkles all over them and howling at the crowd before they finally gave him a real gimmick. His promo skills didn't become decent until he stopped talking. I could go on but I might feel the urge to watch a marathon of big show matches for the technical prowess. :HickenGOAT3:

:rudy: I dont give a damn WHAT y'all say, blonde/surf Sting was my second favorite wrestler as a kid next to Hulk Hogan. I still remember the first WCW house show I went to back in like 1990. I've bought 3 wrestlers tshirts in my entire life, Hogan, Sting, and Austin.

That Crow Sting sh*t was wack. They took away his entire personality for like 4 years. It was overkill.

The bottom line on Sting is this --- he hit by far his career peak when he was an emo mute hanging in the rafters week in and week out, and not wrestling. Thats how his career tombstone will read.

No he will end his career to huge Thank You Sting chants just like when fans thought it was over when he put AJ over. He did everything his way and didn't have to sell out, become a NwO lite fakkit, or marry a McMahon. His legacy is well intact. He became a multi millionaire without having to kiss Vince McMahon's ass(Jim Ross, Cripple H, Hickenbottom, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn, etc).

@R=G don't be throwing shade at the Kliq breh. Depressed screamo Stink would have been a upper level midcarder having fueds with Shamrock and Blackman. The Kliq would have done whats best for the business and protected the audience from 8 minute segments of Stink Bordem holding a trained bird in silence. Good thing NWO carried him dubyaceedubya :whoo:.

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
Sting was my favorite when I started watching WCW. His feud with Vader was excellent. When he turned into the Crow he was crazy over until he actually had the match with Hogan.

He was really good in the early days of WCW before I started watching based on what I did end up seeing.

I wouldn't rank him very high all time though.

As far as how Sting would do, I think if he had joined any point before the Crow gimmick when he was a really good worker he would have been huge. Probably would have been the #1 face and champion.

Sting tarnished his legacy by not going to the wwe. U want to be considered one of the best, u go to the best company.
