The side missions are funny for no reason :russ:

Your character is like :mjtf: every quest :russ:

Gameplay is nice, needs to smoothed out a bit going from cover to cover. Feels like a mix of ME3 and Gears in terms of "feel".

But I'll wait, Marvel's Anthem is still floating around, decaying ever so slowly :wow:

The best part of the gameplay is making you be aggressive. Before, I'm sure they just thought that tossing in guns and slapping powers on you was enough to make a game :russ:

Making sure that you have to kill dudes to get health was a smart move to keep the action going.

Fighting bosses without goons means you have to play safer, use cover and interrupts (usually melee or a shotgun blast)

I see potential, a few months after release day :mjpls:

EDIT:

Nah, I bought it :mjlol:

It's a full game from release day, the endgame is already IN the game:ehh:

Crossplay means I can play with everybody whenever :patrice:

I'm having fun just playing solo, which is rare for me in these kinds of games. Since it isn't a GAAS game, Im not too worried about longevity.

its $46 on Green man gaming, cant refund though if you go that route.

im in the same boat

the dialogue/narrative comes off as :picard: at first but after a while you realize the game doesn't take itself too seriously but the nuance regarding that could be a bit better for sure

i also played defiance for years and its got the same vibe. gameplay, loot, world level, encounter design, information are all on point. these bones matter and they're good here. its just the icing really.... this game looks like shyt :mjlol: the design is just terrible. Reminds me of Remnant: FTA and I couldn't stomach that game's look either.

the demo will be around indefinitely so i'll play around with some of the other classes, try to break stuff, test coop, etc

i'll buy it but i MIGHT play it more than borderlands 3 and monster hunter? kinda where im at with it i think.

Yeah, I'm kind've in the same place, too.

At times, it looks like they learned absolutely nothing from Bulletstorm flopping. That game's problem was generic looking characters and whatnot paired with writing that was trying too hard. Same shyt appears to be happening here from what I played of the demo. :mjlol:

But you're right. There's the makings of a solid game, but there's just little stuff that seems off. Part of why I bounced off of it was how they handle mobility. The trickster class seems built around stick and move type offense, but there's no jump button, or regular ass dash. There's the ability to teleport behind enemies, but that has a cooldown. It's almost like they pulled mobility for Vanguards straight out of Mass Effect 2, and said "We good :youngsabo:".

I'll probably pick this up on sale, or maybe earlier if I get bored with other stuff, and word has it that this is good.

Same

There’s some minor things that are off plus they want 60$ for this I assume :mjlol:

it’s ok but for me the release window is a bad. After some time with the demo I can’t see myself dropping bread if ain’t at a reduced price
