I enjoyed the movie. I'm obsessed with medieval and fantasy films. But, this movies battle scenes were below Game of Thrones. I really wish we could see the director's cut. I have a feeling a lot of character work was cut. Regardless I enjoyed the film. Braveheart is more emotionally impactful. And the character work is A-1. And the battle scenes in Braveheart are epic.

I'm gonna re-watch Braveheart (one of my all time favorite movies).

I heard William Wallace never met The Bruce irl. Just Gibson taking liberties. Looks good though.
Braveheart had alot of fiction.

He had Wallace fukking the princess of England :mjlol:

Think of this film as a factual sequel to Braveheart. Bruce achieved everything Wallace was fighting for with barely 1000 men :wow:

Robert the Bruce wouldn't have gotten indepence for Scotland if Wallace hadn't repeatedly gave England body blows.

His rebellion failed but there's a reason he was drawn, quartered and had his body parts sent all over Scotland.

He had the English scared, sweaty n coughing up blood, just like its king.

The Bruce's rebellion in his wake had England tired and spent. They were tired of war, especially for land as hard and basically worthless as Scotland.

Tldr; don't shortchange William Wallace

Im not breh :whoa:

I just meant Bruce finished his mission

Gibson overdid the fiction with Braveheart though, i hate when true story films are exaggerated unnecessarily

This was dope, I liked the cinematography made the action feel a bit more real. Especially that first scene with the catapult.

I'm not a big fan of Chris Pine but he was good in this.

Was a good story worth telling, his wife was Ride or Die.

Why'd they let the king go at the end though?

The wife's titty meats were looking right

As if women are that loyal that she wouldn't sign the divorce papers :mjlol:

Yeah, I thought that was weird. I thought they would use him as ransom to get the wife and kid back but they just let him go and Bruce still gets his fam back. Feels like they explain it away in the closing with how the prince gets killed soon after because his subjects didn't like him anyway.

Yeah true but still... hell of a risk to let him go like that. The ending could have been done better I think, everything just worked out far too nicely for my liking. Solid film though. :ehh:
