Wu Tang is the most overrated group of all time... if we wanna talk about an act whose rep, status and legacy has been buoyed by "cac journalists and media members" it's them... their actual group discography and it's real life impact and importance to rap waned significantly after the second album (which started before then...they had already started touring with rock bands in the rollout for Forever)

Wu all dropped classics after Wu-Forever, but no one really checked for them anymore.

As for Outkast, their ish got so much more weird sounding, that people couldn't help to just call it "great".
