Not to mention its the lowest paid of the major sports, with the shortest careers, with the most physical risk, with the least amount of black representation in coaching, ownership and front office etc. I seriously have no clue why so many black folks continue to watch it.

Hoops seems to have more middle class kids and children of ex-ballers now. Hockey/baseball are expensive in North America. Soccer hasn't caught on like that and is a suburban sport in America.

Football is the sport where a poor but athletically gifted kid can come from the hood and rise up to "THAT NIKKA."

That plus it tends to have the most compelling storylines and roster building is more complicated. NBA....draft one elite player and you go from lottery team to 40-50 win team (see Bron, Luka etc), put talent around them and you win rings. NFL.....you gotta hit multiple times at multiple positions and even doing all that, it may not be enough (see Cowboys, Niners, Bills).
