I talked about it at length on here that I stopped watching the NFL after Cam's MVP season in 2015 (after his performance in the NFC Championship game). Felt it was a perfect time to quite watching one because in a short period of time I had seen black QBs go to 4 straight superbowls. Two, I had seen a black QB in Wilson win the superbowl while also seeing Cam being the first black QB to win an AP MVP (The MVP Cunningham won in 1990 was the ProFootball Writers NFL MVP) and three I pretty much knew what the outcome would be on the SuperBowl.

I always had a love hate relationship with the league with how it treated black QBs, Black coaches, Black GMs, black executives and black refs. I have discussed this ad nauseam on this forum over the years on the negative relationship between the NFL and its black employees.

Starting off with the season opener in 2016 and the vicious, deadly and dirty hits that Cam took for that game and the rest of the season, I knew my decision to stop supporting the league in any capacity was the right thing to do.

Not to mention its the lowest paid of the major sports, with the shortest careers, with the most physical risk, with the least amount of black representation in coaching, ownership and front office etc. I seriously have no clue why so many black folks continue to watch it.
