Okay, he's speaking his mind but my question was to Logic fans, Was this bi racial "plight" present in his music in his work before this and to this extent. Or is he "speaking his mind" now that race is a hot discussion topic.

Logic is not black, he could have black parents. That man is not a black man and has not gone through what so many black men have. I'm going on a tangent, forgive me, I just want a Logic fan to address the question

Who are you to day he isn't Black? Who are you to tell somebody else how much struggle one has to go through to be Black?

I mean, my parents could easily tell me I ain't Black because I never experienced segregation, never had to stay out of school to pick cotton, never studied from outdated books, never had a dog sicked on me for being Black. Yet at the end of the day, both of my biological parents are still Black and they aren't less Black than their parents who struggled and suffered more than they did.

Based on matisyahu or whatever that idiots name is... Im sure he's just a troll under the bridge of a thread.

If u gotta go through certain struggles to constitute as being "black"...

Based on that logic, you had to have gone thru concentration camps and actually built railroads to be considered asian.

Ur not really native unless u witnessed the man steal ur lands, ravish and pillage ur peoples and force u to give up ur turkey population.

U aint really mexican because u werent there when the aztecs built the pyramids.

U aint really indian because u havent through the tribulations of a slumdog villager.

Shiit... The militantism here just outright brings out the dumbest fukks on the internet. Thank god im not affiliated with these callow choads in real life.

I don't think fam is a troll, I just think he wanted to ask a question about a song he kinda skimmed through.

And while I don't believe in having to experience this or that struggle to qualify your blackness, it's understandable that some people do associate their experience as black people with 'struggle', especially AA's. Drake said he never experienced racism until he got famous and came to the states...and the racists he encountered were black people being racist to him. I can't imagine being black anywhere on this earth without experiencing (or noticing) racism for over half my life.

That's not "militantism" that's just somebody being human trying to contrast/compare their experience to somebody who's different. The first thought is usually just conditioning/reactionary... you use empathy to get to the thoughts that are actually of any value.

I still think that dude's post was garbage. Empathy is when you're trying to understand someone by placing yourself in their situation. There was nothing empathetic about the post. Dude was trying to dictate someone else's Blackness by equating Black to struggle when there's much more to being Black than struggle.
