Jazzy Pha's pops was also a member of Otis Redding's band and he was supposed to be on the flight that Otis and the rest of his band died on, except they always alternated one member of the band that would have to find another way to get to the location due to limited space on the plane. That just so happened to be his turn to drive (or catch a different flight, I don't remember).
