Old timer white engineer I use to work with loved Otis Redding. Dude said he was a teenager when his plane crashed and he died. Old white Kat said he cried for a week after hearing he died cause he was such a fan of his music. Mentioned how he met saw him one time at a concert.
Old Kat use to come in to work and play Otis redding songs on Ipod and hook it up to some small speakers at his desk. Listening to that old kat talk about Otis reminded me how my dad use to talk about how talented Otis was and how it was a shock when he died (though my dad was some 6 to 8 years younger than the white kat when Otis died).
