Barkley just made himself look stupid because they ahd Christian Laethner on that damn team. And they did have Chris Mullin who, although he was good, dudes of now are better than.

He didn't say no one from 2012 would make the 92 team. He said Bron, KD and Kobe would. So he's saying they would take the place of 3 players on the 92 team. Obviously Laettner would be one of those, and most likely Mullen too.

Forget Shaq for a minute, Robinson had to play against a BETTER center(ie more skilled center than Dwight) in Hakeem Olajuwon. Dealing with Dwight after dealing with Hakeem would be like that nikka was on vacation down on the block.

I love Barkley's frankness and honesty. I have no doubt that this will be motivation for guys like Melo and CP3 who probably think they legitimately could make that 1992 team. I wonder how it affects their performances during the summer games, but more importantly when they come back how it affects their games in the NBA.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
We're talking about the 92 team, Robinson hadn't played Shaq at that point. Shaq was drafted in 92.

@ the bolded, you're talking about Shaq right? If so I agree, but see above^^^

David Robinson would have confused Dwight for Kevin Willis if they played each other in 92. And we know for certain he could play against Shaq and hold his own, whether he had played him @ the time or not.

And no, Im talking about the Admiral, he was every bit as athletic as Dwight, and maybe even more so considering he was faster and quicker than him. Perimeter players have gotten better since 92 sure, but the centers have gotten considerably worse. You drop a prime Robinson into the NBA right now, and he's the most athletic C, with the best offensive skillset, while being one of the tallest.

Nah! It just don't pass the eye test. Faster and quicker ok, he's not quicker off the floor, he doesn't jump higher and he's not stronger.

1992 David Robinson dominates MJ - YouTube

When has Dwight ever shown that kind of open court speed?
he was so much more coordinated and fluid than Dwight and his stiff self. DRob was a perimeter player that was actually a big man. He moved like a perimeter player, had that speed, agility, etc yet was perfectly fine being a big man.

verbaltelekinesis should be barred from bball discussions for the next two weeks for that stupidity.

if DRob had his growth spurt in 2005, instead of 1985, there is a good chance DRob plays the small forward position. And he was skilled and coordinated enough to do so.

he is tho. You dont block 4 shots in an NBA season without being lightning off the floor. Dude was faster, a quicker leaper, more agile, more quicker, more fluid in his movement, and waaaaay more coordinated than Dwight.

And honestly, the only reason I give Dwight a pass for leaping is because we dont have DRob's running leap measurements which is what you are citing for Dwight.

Dwight is def more stronger, but DRob had to play against Shaq who was stronger than Dwight. Drob held his own against Shaq offensively and defensively. DRob also had to play against strong guys like Willis, he would guard Karl Malone, and even a guy like Kevin Duckworth who was big as fukk. DRob would shyt on Dwight from a great height in their primes. I would even go as far to say that Drob holds Dwight to single digit scoring while getting at least 20 on Dwight.
