I only watched S1, but his character monologues were great.

I even watched the ones from the season I didn't watch. They were well written and impeccably performed. Not too hammy, not too preachy. Always on point.

And nothing he's every done or said outside of the show makes me doubt that he isn't speaking the truth about why he got fired.
Whats crazy is I remember somebody saying he should play Achebe in Black Panther.

Maybe they were onto something :patrice:

From what I remember, his character was some kinda entity from "present" times who would travel across time and speak real shyt to and about us.

For example, in season 1, there's a scene on a ship carrying people from Africa across the sea, and he appears in the bottom of the ship with all of the shackled soon-to-be slaves.

He then gives them a speech about what their future is gonna be. And tells them that they should be angry, and not to let go of that anger. It's one of many speeches/monologues and they were all dope.

saw this before, I havent seen the show. But goin off this, Im guessing messages like this was something they didnt want anymore on the show?

Yeah, I'm out then. They fukked up by not giving the season 1 showrunner a budget increase for season 2 so he dipped and took Gillian Anderson and Kristin Chenowith with him. Season 2 came and another showrunner apparently gone, and now fukking Anansi is a casualty before season 3?

fukk this, I'm out. And this was one of my favorite stories by Gaiman and top-10 in all of fantasy. Ian McShane been devouring scenery in this shyt... but I am not riding for any show that so clearly wants to not be exactly what everyone fell in love with it for being. It's literally just been a comedy of errors of them finding a way to sabotage a formula that should have been left alone following season 1 and allowed to just keep being more of that. Because it would have caught on by at least season 2 with how well it was done.

fukk this shyt, Orlando deserves better. Mr. Nancy was the fukking truth on that show. More than vacant-eyed deadwife. More than the 6'2 leprechaun. More than literally anyone but Wednesday.

:camby:Show in the bushes.
