It's wild how much they dress the actresses down for the show. A couple of them (Ruiz, Maritza) can't be uglied up but some of the others are :banderas: in real life
Seen her in person.... looks like a regular fat Broad..... Would pipe in that same damn outfit lol

Where have you heard that next season is the last? This is the type of show that can just keep going even without Chapman. Sophia is a og of the show, she deserved one final hurrah.
Various articles and interviews with jenji, the fact that it’s currently only renewed through season 7, and the fact that they’ve laid the groundwork for piper’s release and she’s become interested in writing her memoir, other key cast members wanting to move on. All of this points toward the end

Netflix is desperate for content, I can’t see them ending one of their original shows. A reboot is possible I guess

They arent desperate for content, they are not in the same bucket as HBO, and this show is no longer the universal draw it was in its first 1-2/3 seasons anyway. furthermore why would you reboot something that’s recent and already on your platform and ready to view? house of cards will end after one more season, OITNB is on it last leg, the creator is ready to move on, 7 seasons is more than enough. This isn’t greys or ER where the will keep dragging it to a season 13/15/18.

I enjoyed this season and watched it over 2 days.

That Barb and Carol arch was a good example why joining a gang is largely foolhardy. they basically instigated a prison war using their cell block inmates as cannon fodder and a distraction just so they could get to where Frieda was being held..

At what point does flaca wake up and have a fukking brain..for like just one second Jesus fukking Christ

how are you oblivious to the true levity of the impending gang war, but beyond that how do you sit there and hear Gloria expose the guards, with receipts in front of your face, and not register that as a real fukking issue, not tell anyone, like come the fukk on :why:

Also don’t think they did a good job at creating a powerful enough rift between young Carol and Barbara that would cause and sustain this level of animosity 30 years later and no way either of those “jive turkeys” would still be running shyt in prison

Edit: also don’t know how they just let Cindy basically be ok with getting her girl life, but I guess that’s prison for you, you’re friends until it’s time to protect your best friend - yourself.

Netflix wants over 50 percent of their content to be Netflix produced by 2025. That ain’t happening if they cancel their shows.

Flaca only cares about looking at herself in the mirror and getting attention. I doubt she even knows what fantasy sports are

They have canceled their own shows, critically acclaimed ones at that - booodline, seven seconds, and Kimmy Schmidt being a few, and will be canceling house of cards.

There is so much new content to be created that they can still get there while canceling old stuff or things that flop, thus the reason they’re also doing movies and licensing less content. If they only have 200 titles in 2025, they need 100 of their own, it’s not like they’re going to keep having throusands of shows/movies when the goal is to drop outside content.

Netflix is not bound to the old network models of pimping shows for 8-15 years. HBO set the precedent for serieses to be 5-8 seasons and pretty much every non network show has followed suit.

Again, the framework has been laid for this to end next season and the contract situation says as much, let it go breh. OITNB is heading into its final season. There are tons of books waiting to be adapted into shows, oitnb being over doesn’t keep them from moving to the next project
