I'mma list our bench players the last few years:

Kapono
Sasha
Meeks
Shannon Brown
Glock
Troy Murphy
Farmar
Mbenga
Josh Powell
Matt Barnes
Jamison
Ebanks
Earl Clark
Glock
Darius Morris
Walton
Morrison

I'm probably missing more but out of those guys I wanted Barnes back but he didn't want to come back here so that was out of our hands.

Odom was another situation that was out of our hands at the time.

Everybody else is interchangeable, some of those cats ain't even in the NBA anymore.

fukking Glock wasn't gonna make any difference on this season, especially with the way our dumbass coach uses his rotations
Matt Barnes
Glock
Delonte West
Barbosa
Kenyon Martin

We had a chance of having that coming off the bench, but the FO got cheap.

Stop making excuses for these nikkas. They did a bad job.

I never said anything about big numbers.

McRoberts was part of the trade that brought back Earl Clark.

Was Mitch supposed to hold up the Dwight trade because he wanted McRoberts still? :wtf:

With the emergence of Jordan Hill McRoberts wasn't gonna have PT anyway.
I just talkin' role players in general and not always searchin' for the big names. I didn't even know what team McRoberts was playing on to be truthful:heh:

Did your not see where Matt Barnes said he didn't not WANT to come back to the Lakers because of Mike Brown?

Glock is in the Dleague if we wanted him that bad we coulda signed him.

Only player we missed out on was Barbosa.

All these other guys is irrelevant

The part where the FO fukked up was the coach. And that's more on Jim and Jerry than anyone else

But to give your front office credit, who really cares about a bench when you have the starting lineup yall have? I've seen teams with far worse starters and bench players win championships. Who can name 3 players on the bench from any of those Rocket teams off the top of the dome?

EXACTLY.

With a starting lineup that has the #1 C, a top 5 PF, the #1 SG, and a top 10 PG....we should be at .500 in our sleep regardless of whoever the coach is.

Mitch did that.

Our bench is better than what is was last year though, and you can only judge season to season.

Last year: Steve Blake, Jordan Hill, Darius Morris, Devin Ebanks, Matt Barnes, Christian Eyenga, Andrew Goudelock, Josh McRoberts, and Troy Murphy

This year: Steve Blake, Jordan Hill, Darius Morris, Devin Ebanks, Antawn Jamison, Jodie Meeks, Earl Clark, Chris Duhon, and Robert Sacre

How can you even START to blame Mitch?

He also traded for the best Center in the NBA in his prime AND a HOF PG which was an upgrade over what we had last year.....in the same offseason.

For real, regardless of who the coach is, this team should be good enough to go 41-41 off of pure talent alone.

Mitch did his job and isnt to blame at all.
Our bench was better last year, but it was still awful. That was always Mitch's weak point. He is good at making a trade for the big name, but he is terrible at putting a bench together.

And what I was saying was that McRoberts wasn't even as good as Hill in terms of being a role player. He's not needed. He was a below average role player for the Lakers

We'll have to agree to disagree then bruh. You need good role players to win in this league.

Barbosa
Kenyon Martin

Forget those dudes, they missed on Ronnie Brewer, only took a 1 year deal at something like $1.1million, his defense is something they could really use and they could have signed Andray Blatche as well.

And Delonte West and CJ Miles. All of these dudes have traits that the Lakers are short on or are missing completely.

I also wonder did Mitch even think it was a good ideal to bring in Howard and Nash. Cause really it seems like Mitch is running the club like he's a average Laker fan right off the street. These GM's know ten times more inside info than we do. Did Mitch even wonder if Kobe would allow Dwight his opportunity to shine on the Lakers and would their personalities match? Will Kobe allow Nash to handle the ball more? Is our team and bench as a whole athletic enough to keep up with the younger teams in the league, etc etc etc. I don't get it.. and Mitch played in the league and attends every game. Its like a fantasy world or Sim City or some shyt. :mindblown:

Our bench was not better last year breh.

Last year our bench combined to average 20.5 ppg, 12.8 rebs, 6.6 assts, 1.8 stls, and 1.3 blks with a PER of 27.2

This year our bench is averaging 26.1 pts, 13.7 rebs, 5.3 assts, 2.0 stls, and 1.1 blks with a PER of 30.3

Los Angeles Lakers NBA Bench Stats 2011-2012 - Los Angeles Lakers NBA Fantasy Basketball Stats
Los Angeles Lakers NBA Bench Stats 2012-2013 - Los Angeles Lakers NBA Fantasy Basketball Stats

We have a better bench this year, not to mention Earl Clark/Antawn Jamison/Jodie Meeks are better than any 3 players we lost off the bench from last year anyways:yeshrug:
