Daeny just took a major hit with Jorah dying, you combine that with Viserions death, and the bombshell being dropped on her about Jon's lineage, and losing a bulk of her Dothraki/Unsullied in that battle.
Missandei
getting clipped could easily be one of the last straws to break the camels back.

It ties in perfectly with giving Jon a reason to oppose her reign as well. He's not gonna seek a quarrel with her over birth rights, it's gonna take Daeny flipping out and forcing his hand to give him a true reason to act.

I kinda feel like its both lame as fukk and low key sexist to bring Jon back from the dead and give him no other purpose than to kill Dany. So the Lord Of Light or whatever resurrected this auntyfukka NOT to run the fade and kill the Night King but to give dikk to Dany and then kill her? Jorah coulda done that shyt. It just seems like an epic WASTE of both characters.

You gotta remember, Jon's the only reason the North was united again, the only reason Wildlings crossed the wall, the only reason Daeny and her Dragons/Armies came to fight, the only reason Arya came back to Winterfell when she was already en route to Kings Landing. He didn't get the killing blow on NK, but the victory isn't possible if he never comes back to life.

He served a purpose during the great war, we'll see whether that's the purpose the LoL had in mind or if the mad queen predictions are what Snow Man was destined to prevent. People always figured the bitter sweet ending GRRM kept referencing would be in that ball park.

I feel you and i’m NOT discounting that. In fact it makes it all the more frustrating to me because JON is the one who got to come back to life when Ned, Rob, Cat and other “good” characters didn’t. I’m the type to really dig the “chosen one” aspect of High Fantasy storytelling. Now I am in no way under the illusion that GRRM is into that trope (its why I personally prefer the Wheel Of Time Series over ASOFAI) but still, Jon accomplishing all of that JUST for his final destiny to end up killing Dany just falls flat and seems lame. Like I don’t really have an issue with Arya killing the NK in theory. If Jon got to run the fade with some of the NK’s minions or kill the ice dragon and provide a legitimate distraction or SOMETHING that justified all of his sacrifice and effort.

Killing a woman as the true culmination of his arc, the woman who strove through rape, enslavement, and assassination attempts to become Queen, just feels sexist as fukk and pigheaded. Like seriously could you imagine THESE TWO showrunners putting on that awful Confederate idea? It’d be tone deaf as hell

The leaks say the Golden Company kill one of the dragons next episode so the two forces should engage. And we know from the trailers that Jon and Dany end up at Dragonstone at some point. So maybe there is an ambush as the the Dany/Jon alliance heads south.

Edit: The ships and dragons are featured prominently in the preview too

So this could be something that happens at sea.

Cersei says she is going to rip Dany out root and stem in the preview. That threat will probably amount to something in the 80 minute episode.

If the Golden Company ends up doing what you said then there's no doubt in my mind Dany is turning. The build-up to this heel turn is surpassing WWE levels, it's only a matter of time. Maybe this is what Emilia Clarke was in disbelief of when she read the finale script.

Missandei going out like that is one thing, but another one of her dragons being killed in the process too? It's over.
