When talking historically Hearns is the obvious choice to beat Floyd but a guy that always gets overlooked in that discussion is Terry Norris
Paul Williams work rate would of given Floyd problems, throw in the height and reach and we all would of gotten a great 12 Rd fight
Floyd wouldn't of been able to KO him, would been interesting to see how he would of handled that pressure
Back in 2007, especially after he beat Margarito by throwing like 1,000 punches over the course of the fight, I thought Williams would have been a stylistic nightmare for Floyd. I knew the fight would never happen, in addition to it being high risk/low reward, I don't think Al Haymon would wanted these 2 of his guys to fight each other.
But looking back, I would pick Floyd, too smart and skilled. Williams just had an awful defense, and didn't use his height and reach the way he could have. Quintana and others showed how Williams was just so easy to hit. It would have been dull, Floyd catching Williams down the middle and tying him up quite a bit. If Williams knew how to "fight tall", he would have been damn near unbeatable, a 6'2 fighter with an 82" reach at welterweight??!! He had a longer wingspan than many HW champions.
It's sad what happened to Paul. Hopefully he's doing well, he seemed in good spirits despite what happened to him.
Paralysis leads ex-champ Williams to training
I think he could give Floyd a hell of a fight. Don't think he'd win, but he'd come very close.

the nonsense yall dudes come up with manDude breezes through other boxers.
Bully fighters with power in both hands who give zero fukks, show absolutely no respect, with strong jaws are Floyd's most difficult match-ups. Fighters who don't try to get pretty.
Prime Mayorga coming out of nowhere would have been the perfect trap fight to have beaten Floyd. Dude had a lot of natural strength and Mayweather would not be able to outmuscle him on the inside. Dude throws looping punches that'll land on the back of Floyd's head and after enough of those (especially if the ref allows it) Floyd starts to feel the effects and Mayorga would probably land something up top to end it. If Floyd complains about the dirty tactics Mayorga would straight up try to belittle him and play to the crowd.
