Floyd is one of the best clinch fighters ever to lace them up breh, he knows how to hold, elbow, parry, and counter every shot in the clinch; off the eye test only fighters clinch work in my generation that matches Floyds is Bhop....Too bad p*ssy ass refs robbed Floyd of getting gritty in his later careerSpeed chess inside the only way to beat floyd
I'm just saying it's the only way. Fast and powerful exchanges inside hoping to rock floyd.. outside of that it's only a perfectly well timed flash ko-tkoFloyd is one of the best clinch fighters ever to lace them up breh, he knows how to hold, elbow, parry, and counter every shot in the clinch; off the eye test only fighters clinch work in my generation that matches Floyds is Bhop....Too bad p*ssy ass refs robbed Floyd of getting gritty in his later career
The best way to beat him is to maul him, standing in the middle of the ring and clinch fighting is suicide vs Floyd he will eventually Ko you like Hatton, even big boys like Ortiz, Mosley, Canelo got annoyed with the power of his clinch and started to foul.I'm just saying it's the only way. Maul isn't a boxing style. When he fought Emmanuel Augustus it was all in close with non stop pressure but Emmanuel had weak defense some ate shots until his corner stopped the fightThe best way to beat him is to maul him, standing in the middle of the ring and clinch fighting is suicide vs Floyd he will eventually Ko you like Hatton, even big boys like Ortiz, Mosley, Canelo got annoyed with the power of his clinch and started to foul.
Crawford
He would beat Porter on the scorecards easily but it's a fight i would love to see with how Porter loves to attack
Yep and I'm not saying he would beat Floyd at all but he is prolly the only one with enough varied attack and what I like to call the ability to ""freestyle" in the ring to at least keep it competitive...Floyd still wins but guys like Crawford who have speed power and can switch it up. He would have to watch that sweeping right from Floyd if he switches southpaw. Spence a close second.
You need the speed of Zab, the pure boxing and ring skills of Cotto (he won 3-4 rounds and didn't get washed in the others...but still lost a clear UD) and the power and devil may care attitude of Maidana...but Floyd hits a lot harder than nikkas think he does....Tommy Hearns would probably have the best shot...other than that Crawford then Spence.
Danny, Thurman, Porter get washed something awful.
If we keeping it historic, I think sugar ray Leonard would've given floyd absolute problems with the size, length, handspeed and rapid punches. If I could match up any two fighters, that would b my ultimate dream matchup.
nikka basically said it takes a FRANKENSTEIN boxer to beat floydYep and I'm not saying he would beat Floyd at all but he is prolly the only one with enough varied attack and what I like to call the ability to ""freestyle" in the ring to at least keep it competitive...Floyd still wins but guys like Crawford who have speed power and can switch it up. Besides maidana and Castillo who are good at cutting the ring off the fighters that gave Floyd problems were Shane Mosley, Zab Judah dela Hoya, and pacquiao
Explosive fighters(quick hands and quick feet) with decent counter punching skills
