No it doesn't mean that every man is required to raise another man's kids because they are interested in the woman, and I think that where this stigma comes from, dudes feeling like they HAVE to raise kids just to be interested in a woman. Everybody has the right to mold their lives how they want.
I think the concern for me comes where some cats start projecting their phobias on to everybody else. If you see a man who doesn't mind being a step dad he is a "simp".......and the rhetoric that comes from that. We should applaud those brothas regardless of what our preference is...because they are doing their best to help mold minds that need it.

I see your overarching point but I think it's off base. Yes you can date a woman and not be involved with her kids. Obviously if you get married you are going to be involved.
I don't think they deserve applause or scorn. If they decided to raise that kid they did so as duty to being with that kids mom. They aren't doing it as a social duty, let's be reality here. I also don't think they should catch hell for it. I wouldn't do it but that's me. If another man wants to then so be it.
I do think it' odd that something that certain posters have no interest in is such a constant theme. If it's not an option I don't see how its constantly so top of mind.
