I tend to disagree with this. This topic is more important than ever because more people are going to college and the costs are going up.

College should NOT be a requirement to get a good job. That's my point.
What is the purpose of a fashion design degree?
Most of the renowned designers don't even have a college degree.

One of my friends went to a trade school as a plumber. He is making well over 6 figures now enjoying life.

Why can't we have more of those?

College has become a product. Institutions will create bullsh!t programs and call it a degree as long as you are willing to pay top dollar

Totally agree. The reason people champion STEM fields is that it's NOT bullshyt and you can make a decent living off of it just off those credentials.

But paying top dollar for non stem shyt is dangerous nowadays to your wallet and I do think that this whole push for college without specifying that some degrees aint worth it is VERY fukked up.

People still need better education on where they spend their money for college though. I know the debate isn't as black and white as the article makes it seem, but the point is still valid. They are too many people not seeing value from their investment.

People are getting robbed in broad day light. I believe we are getting to a point where as long as you pay the "right" amount money, you can't fail a class.

No, it's played out because we've done it 8 million times on here (and towards the end of SOHH) and that's what @Robbie3000 is getting at. If you post on the coli and you haven't come across this subject at least 3 times this year, you've been napping breh. I upped a topic to the top of this forum exclusively about a bill about student debt. Granted not everyone reads them so I feel you, but we're all saying the same shyt to each other at this point.

Well, one college I went to ranked pretty high and other one was low.
I have a good job in IT so it depends on what degree you get and what you do with your degree.
