The greater crime is how the other Z fighters got wasted and reduced to fodder.
The games they play with Vegeta are the most infuriating. Just let this man restore his saiyin race to glory, kill Frieza for good and at the minimum be neck and neck with Goku. Even in super He's shown even more growth. He;s far more focused, determined and diligent than everybody else including Piccolo.
Also The TOP was a missed opportunity to finally put some respect on Yamchas name, Why they leave him out. Dude has some of the dopest arsenal of moves yet he gets wasted. it's definitely weird that AT decided to make raditz his brother because at the end of the day it had no bearing on the story whatsoever.
he could have just been a random saiyan and everything would have been left the same. them being brothers added no layers to the drama at all. they did nothing with it.

Yeah I agree with everyone when they say this series should just be called Goku. Like seriously, not even Naruto sidelined its characters the way DBZ has done. I think DB Super was just created to try and make Goku more powerful than Superman and to address that Deathbattle match and the comic book fans. Because the new show has no purpose.
Hell, the the DB stories as a whole had no story. They were just fight a strong opponent, overpower that strong, then become powerful. Rinse and repeat, again and again and again. No story. Only laymen think DB is the best anime/manga series.

Dr. Gero, Cell, and those later villains should have had more henchmen characters in order to give guys like Piccolo, Krillin, Tien, and Yamcha an opportunity to shine a little bit. It's too bad the human characters never learned Kaio Ken...
Also, Trunks and Goten should have never been able to become super saiyans so easily. That's something you should have to EARN

first thing,
it wasn't goku that killed raditz, it was piccolo with the Special Beam Cannon , so who knows if goku would of tried to spare his brothers life after the fight like he did with vegeta (goku didn't even defeat vegeta, it was great ape gohan that squashed him) and he stopped krillin from shanking vegeta
2nd - raditz tried to convince goku to join him, it was him that made goku aware that he was actually an alien and not a human , goku didn't want to hear it then raditz captured kid gohan
3rd - vegeta had a different mission compared to nappa and raditz, he wanted the dragon balls for himself hence him killing nappa
4th - the story is better the way it was written

Definetly a wasted character, Goku had no problems killing his only living relative, but let Vegeta go after killing all his friends ?? Who he supposedly cared about more, than his own family.

Goku tried to give Raditz a chance to walk away. When Goku had him by the tail and Piccalo was charging up to kill him. Goku let him go and his first move was to try and kill them all again. After that Piccalo killed him. If it were up to Goku he would have let him live but that was someone else taking that shot.
As for Vegeta the only person he killed on earth was Nappa. Yamcha was killed by a saiybaman, everyone else was killed by Nappa.
Goku was consistent about giving second chances until after Frieza.
