I kinda feel bad for tiller whose worked hard to get where he is but Davis has to get a look at guard. For all of tillers strengths he doesn't move very well in space and chip loves running screens

Also I see Davis as a trading chip down the line once he gets his value back
tbh the line makeup is weird for Chip because pretty much all of them are not really zone blocking guys

I don't think they'll run strictly zone, remember modkins is a power man blocking run cordinator. Davis and Garnett have experience in zone run blocking in college. The only one who truely doesn't fit is brown, if anything they should be running behind Brown and pulling Garnett behind him. We'll see a totally different run game from chip this year.

Either way this line is vastly superior to last year

I think it'll be a hybrid scheme too which is how it was at Oregon. The linemen scheme was actually kind of complicated but the actual skill position plays weren't at all. If it wasn't for his line being so small I seriously think he could have had at least one Championship but sometimes size trumps skill. That and the fact that the defense had to play WAYYYYYY too much to be as small as they were. Either way, I think we'll see some things on offense that will surprise us because Chip is kinda stereotyped as just a hurry up repetitious guy(which he is to a degree).

I just want to see progress on offense this year.

This is what i'm looking for, specifically the offensive line. we have some young talented core pieces on offense like hyde and the o-line so it's just a matter of seeing how they fit in this system.

this is reminding me of the pre-harbaugh era when we were drafting and signing talented players but didn't have a coach that knew how to use them.

Should we sign Nate Washington (just got cut by the Pats)?

Decent receiver on his previous teams.
Id be down. hes prolly better than any receiver we have aside from torrey and ellington (and ellington is still largely unproven anyway). if hes ok with being depth mostly. hes getting up there in age but still, we're signing some random bums to play WR lately, might as well kick tires on him
