I really think these fukkers think we're still in '11-'13, like we're considered a premier franchise that doesn't have to stoop low and overpay FAs to come here, because it's a privilege to play for us...Baalke seems risk adverse, afraid to aggressively target guys, which is fine when you have a great roster, but you can't build a team by being afraid to bring in difference makers. Reports coming out that FAs are excited about the Raiders because they're building a winner and are showing a desire to compete. That happened by drafting well AND paying to bring in FAs. They previously brought in Rodney Hudson, Crabtree, Dan Williams, Justin Tuck, Malcolm Smith, Curtis Lofton...and look at that, they're building a reputation, a winning culture. 49ers rep is shyt right now, no good player in their right mind would take market value to come here. You gotta use the only tool you have, which is huge cap space. Otherwise we're just gonna be solely relying on drafting well, which there is no reason to assume we will, while forfeiting next season and probably the season after. I don't wanna hear nothing about value signings or not overpaying, because i'd rather have 20 mil in cap with Vernon and Osemele than 50 mil without them.
Man, fukk this.
