LeVert with the chance to run the offense and get plenty of shots and he looks like his old self again

Its great to see, but its also kinda reinforcing that we're gonna have to choose between Spence and Caris to get the most out of one of them. I'd love it not to be the case, but they've both shown they are best running the 2nd unit by themselves

I say just let spence go to the bench and run that second unit as hes used to and give the original starters chance to gel

Then where does Caris go? He’s not gonna prosper in the starting lineup with Someone like Kyrie. Tough decisions ahead for Marks

I agree, but they have to make it a point to let Caris run the offense for periods. He's just never gonna be a spot up 2 guard who sits in the corner while Kyrie runs everything. Spencer can run the bench, but if Caris goes back to 8 shots a game and they're all rushed because he was the 3rd option of a failed play we're stuck in the same issue

Yeah Spence is your quintessential 6th man than can step in and start without losing a step. Caris’ ceiling is higher and still has the potential to average 22 points on a good team.

This is a good point too.

I guess it comes down to the point that, Spence will get the nod because Kenny favors him more. Caris has to polish his game more and be more dependable to become that primary playmaker besides Kyrie.

Yep I agree.. Tonight he was decisive and not over dribbling, iinto crowds which is what he needs to do every game. I know that won't happen every night but the aggressiveness and decisiveness is where he needs to be consistent.

I have no worries when he brings the ball up and is running the play from the start. No need to rush, no need to worry about making something happen fast.

He just doesn't have that elite player skill yet, where you get the ball in a broken play and have to make something happen quick. Combine that with the fact he's not comfortable as a spot up shooter, and you see why he has issues with consistency with changing roles and an injury. He has the potential to make it work in those roles, but if Marks feels like he can't get there during this KD/Kyrie window he might need to go find someone who can

Kenny in the postgame saying out loud what we all knew. He was too cautious with Caris after the injury, didn't let him play long stretches, play through mistakes.

Hopefully this means we'll see more of Caris on the ball even with Kyrie back, he's got to keep showing out before the break and force his hand
