Also, there's an elephant in the room people don't seem ready to address yet, we're gonna have to have the talk eventually.

Either Spence or Caris has to go. I thought about it before Kyrie's help comments and thought about it a whole lot more since. Both helped recruit these guys here so it's crazy awkward but it has to happen.

Spencer has been holding up his end of the bargain.. Hes killing the wiz tonight.. Ill give caris some time but hes the odd man out right now the way hes playing.. If he could just give a consistent 15-20 a night we'd be straight.

I don't think Kyrie's out long, hopefully it's one of those where it looks worse than it really is. Same with Caris last year but obviously a lesser extent.

If he wasn't able to walk off from it then yeah season's over. And I know he didn't fully know what happened but I didn't like Beal laying there smiling.

I prefer Spence too but I don't know what Caris gets that improves the team. Forget a consistent 15, he was supposed to be building an all star bid. Instead his FG this year so far is down almost 4%, FT% is even down on more attempts and looks checked out a good chunk of the time.

Based off this season, hard to not fear for the worst with Kyrie. It looked awful, and walking off is good but Klay ran off the court with a torn ACL so we wait for the MRI.

Edit: :whew:

I'm just lost with Kenny's decision making at this point also. 2nd night of a back to back and he plays the same 9 man rotation. Where is Rodi, TLC, Claxton? Why is Temple playing 37 minutes? Prince was awful and gets 27 minutes, Chandler the same with 19, and both playing down the stretch when the team needed life so it was 3 on 5 out there.

Caris is lost at this point, put blame on him for sure but he also just has no role with this team. He never gets plays run for him anymore, and when he gets the ball its usually a last resort and he does too much. Spencer is great, but why can't Caris get 3 or 4 of those ISO plays Spence gets when they play together? I just don't see him breaking a slump when he gets 6-8 shots a game and most are rushed at the end of the clock. He's in a tough spot.

Meanwhile D'Angelo still ballin :francis: maybe we should have found a way to keep him and trade 1 of them. :patrice: it might not have been possible tho.

I'm not gonna give up on Caris so soon. So let's hope he gets it together.

Medial ligament sprain for Kyrie, will be evaluated in one week. I see losses to Phoenix and Toronto in that week so Orlando probably takes 7th seed before the evaluation. Tough stretch starting on the 10th too with Indy, Toronto, and Philly, could easily go 1-5.

Yeah D'lo had to go if we were signing two max guys

I don't have much faith rn but it's the perfect opportunity for Caris to step up, we've already seen Spence on fumes from carrying the team so we need him and last night's Joe Harris.

Oh yeah im not mad at all just disappointed.. Just that dudes name disgusts me.. He'll finally be off the books this year and then everything from those bad years will be gone.. Next year will be a hell of a year just for that reason :mjlit:
Damn. Dwill was my guy but I didn't want that trade to happen. Trade technically costed the nets favors and Lillard cuz then these fools had to get geral Wallace. Smh...

But yes, next year... :blessed:

From the Woj Podcast on Nets

”They’ve been talking, they’ve been active,” Woj told Bobby Marks. “They’ve gotta figure out is there anybody they can bring in who fits long term.”

However, Woj didn’t offer any names in the discussion and he suggested that the Nets are not in the market just to be in the market.

“They’re a team I can see making a move this week, but only if its ... part of what you imagined, with Kyrie, with KD, and maybe it balances out their team, their rotation.”

I doubt he makes any moves..if he does it'll probably cost harris. Levert and Prince new extensions make a trade complicated

Seems like we're looking at guys around the $4 million mark, basically just better rotation fits.

Also this Aaron Gordon talk needs to go, you can't trade a Spence/Caris for him.

He's basically Prince, and how would he improve seeing the ball even less and asked to shoot a ton of 3s (which Prince is better at based on the numbers)

Prince and LeVert shouldn't move until the offseason (if they do). With the extensions it actually helps since we can match salaries easier.

Caris can't find a rhythm with Kyrie or Spence, so you'd assume he's the odd man out. But with Spence he'd bring back more value, and after next season he's in line for a big contract and can we afford to max 2 Point Guards. So in that scenario then sticking with Caris might be the play. Marks has some big decisions over the next 6 months

Kelly Oubreh is the type of wing that every team should want. Long pause, athletic, can shoot, defends well. I think Washington got it wrong trading him.
