yeah on paper they look scary...on the court they will look like a hot mess. IM a huge Knicks fan but those pieces don't go together

IM a Knicks fan so if it works, GREAT. I dont see it.they go fine together the coach just needs to use them correct . We lookin to try and get even better defensively I applaud that . Can't wait for this season. The important thing is opening the playoffs at home. The almost completely renovated garden will be rocking

Here's what it looks like to me...
The Knicks realize that they have all they need in scoring. Their problem is they would get a lead... then blow it the last quarter and a half. Melo and Amare are enough to produce the bulk... then they have secondary scorers in JR, Novak, Felton, and Kidd (3 pointers)
If you notice.... EVERYONE else on the Knicks beside Melo and Amare are strictly role players. ALL OF THEM. And none of the people that they picked up are gonna take any shots away from Melo or Amare.
Kidd... at this point is just a floor general
Felton.... Same as kidd, but can score more
Chandler... Defensive anchor
Shumpert... perimeter defender, but can score and create his own shot
Brewer... Defender who can score at the basket (but not on the outside)
Camby... Defensive anchor for bench (blocks/rebounds) has a good 10 - 15 footer
JR... Shooter off the bench (probably the only player that might step out of their role)
Novak... Outside shooter
Thomas... ummmm
Prigioni... 3rd string pg, just there for assists and creating shots for others
Copeland... another defender
Nobody is gonna step out of their role... they are there to do whatever their specialties are and that's it. And most of them specialize in defense, so there's no conflict with Melo or Amare. So you know what that means. The entire offense is gonna run through those 2... and the rest just need to go play defense
knicks looked good on paper last yr
and u saw what happen
but Knicks r still my team in the east
I dig what your saying, I just think that when you have a pick & roll PG and PF but then u have a SF who likes to take people off the dribble it doesn't mesh well. Here's what it looks like to me...

Not only does Melo hold the rock but the other players don't move around to get open once he gets the ball.
I would love for all this to work out but forgive me if my optimism is gone, IM not going off paper anymore...Ineed to see it first. (this is coming from a dude who swore Eddy Curry was gonna be an all-star when we got him)
