Idk if Malice ear for beats just sucks but I feel he could do much better in the No Cursing introspective lane but i dont think he really cares about music anymore

Pusha has more flair when he raps. Same reason I prefer Benny over Conway.
All subjective Malice was better to me

Conway might have more flair his voice is more ill and his ad libs especially the Conway laugh is hilarious

His verse on "Virginia" will always make me put him above Pusher.

Malice made a defeat Christian album after leaving the Clipse that I barely heard about. If he was better people would’ve supported him more.

I always considered Push like Kiss and Malice like Styles

Pusha had the more clever bars in terms of wordplay and coming up with creative analogies
Malice had the more introspective bars, with more wisdom and more substance

It's preference.
Good analogy. Malice verse on I’m Not You reminds me of Styles verse on Recognize

This ain’t fair to say at all.
I’ll give you that but it’s not like it was hidden or anything. If he’s better he’s better:yeshrug: I was never a huge Clipse fan like that but I bought the No Malice album and it was ok to me. Not great, not horrible. It’s not like rappers never slipped Christian rap into albums without calling them Christian Rap albums.. look at The Boogiemonsters and Witchdoctor as examples.

Only a few rappers could’ve went into the Christian lane and still maintained the love. DMX was one of em.

Imma say it like this. Malice had a certain level of realism and introspection with his drug bars. Pusha always was more punchline laced n shyt like that. So this has been an argument since jump. Only big thing is now Malice ain’t really making music so it’s silly to say he’s better than Pusha at this point. But when they was both a group. Even during the mixtape run. I always felt Malice was better. And for the cat who tries to say it’s some contrarian shyt like Big Boi is better than Andre 3K. For one. There’s nothing wrong with thinking Big Boi was better because in real time they weren’t far off. Number 2. Big Boi actually has dope shyt on his own. Mobb Deep was a different situation entirely imo.
I’m making the point that the premise of the OP is illogical. Things can change with time. It’s the equivalent of “Nas was a newcomer when Illmatic dropped. Why is he now considered a veteran?”

Outkast is actually a great example of this, in 94, when Southernplayalistic dropped, Big and Dre were basically considered the same in terms of skill. Dre didn’t pull ahead until 96 when he switched up his style and outlook and started getting more attention and hip hop Quotables.
