As a lifelong NBA fan since 1987.... current NBA is the biggest joke of all the leagues in America.... and nikkas wonder why the league has awful ratings
i refuse to watch these lame ass nikkas. They shytted on my era stars and said they played against plumbers. The same plumbers that played 82 games a year and had jobs during the offseason. These bums can't even show up, and we got dumbasses spending an arm & leg to see backup players.

Why do yall act like this 7 footer is not battling chronic injuries

Yall dudes so fukking weird
His injuries never stopped him from signing max extensions. If his body is broken to the point he cant even play after being off months then maybe its tine for a career change.

Thats a false choice. Just because they have failed in the past doesn't mean this is a good idea.

If they cant make it through the regular season, chances are they cant make it through a playoff run :manny:. Injuries are not something you can avoid like that. They just happen...especially for injury prone nikkas. Point is, either they got it or they dont. Putting them in shrink wrap on the shelf aint helping anything. We have never seen any of these "just get to the playoffs" teams win it all.
Raptors conceded the 1 seed, but even then Kawhi was on one leg by the end and they still needed KD and Klay to go down imo. And that’s the only instance of it even kinda working

I didn’t buy this team healthy beyond Embiid’s second round cap, and we know how Playoff P gets down, but you also know neither one of them is a beacon of health in the first place so this ain’t even surprising.

I don’t even hold this against them; it’s just par for the course :manny:

Ok my saying Embiid can miss half of the season was probably overstating it and probably not a good idea when it comes to team cohesion and consistency and building an identity and momentum toward the postseason. I don’t blame the team or Embiid for trying to think of how to have him healthy for the postseason. Has he ever been healthy in a postseason? Kawhi missed a quarter of the regular season games for Toronto and Shaq was missing his share doing LA’s three-peat so I actually think there’s some precedent for the strategy.
Shaq missed 26 games in the entire 3 peat. The 6ers wish he was missing games like Shaq :pachaha:. Kawhi went to a TOR team that had been together and winning in the east for years. A team that competed without him a year later. And if we talking Embiid playing 60 ish games thats workable. Its also unlikely if he isnt even ready when you supposed to be your healthiest and he isnt playing back to backs.

All good points. And you’re right about Shaq. I was thinking of seasons early 2000s. There’s a strong narrative on here about how the 76ers don’t do well in the postseason due to his lack of durability. And until proven otherwise it’s a reason to doubt the load management strategies the team might employ this year. Before last year, Embiid had played 68 and 66 games the prior two years. I think if he can play 60-65 games that’s a good range for him to stay healthy (one theory for his injuries is related to the long grind of the NBA season; the others are related to his size and playing style) and for there to be team chemistry that includes him at the end of the year. I guess we’ll see how it plays out.
