TLC QLED?
TCL is a solid brand. Fully vertically intergraded. QLED also isn't bad. At least you don't have to worry about burn in or your OLED randomly developing dead pixels later in life (something I've had happen on my LG C7) on a QLED TV. I remember when I had the original QLED TV the Sony W900A, I miss that TV.

Pure bang for your buck TCL is elite in the LED space...the reviews speak for themselves.

This ain't an LED/LCD thread though... :yeshrug:
Yeah there's nothing wrong with a TCL QLED. A 65 inch QM8 is like $900 (normal price) and that's their flagship. The LG G4 flagship in 65 inches cost 2.7x the price (on sale) at $2400 and isn't rated dramatically better.

A lot of people aren't buying the flagship model OLED. They're getting a mid-tier OLED like a C4 and we're talking about the difference between a 8.5 level TV and a 9.0 level TV there. It's not even worth mocking.

If you can't tell the difference between any OLED and a TCL:

  1. Your vision sucks
  2. The setup is faulty
  3. Both
Ain't no .5 point difference:stopitslime:

Is it worth it? Coming from Samsung uhd from 2016… I’m about to pull the trigger on the 83 inch C4.
Do it bro. If you have the money for a G4 I’d consider that but you will love the TV whichever one you get

To the other breh in here, I feel like you’d have more of an argument if you were saying QNED TVs which are impressive. But QLED is not giving you the picture quality of an OLED. Just superior lighting and range

OLED TVs have conditions they do better in and QDLED TVs also have conditions they do better in. On brightness in general, HDR, and in a well lit room an OLED is getting smoked by a QD-LED set. On black levels and in a dim lit room an OLED is better.

I prefer OLED but if I had additional living space I'd have a room with a QD-LED TV in it. Right now I have 2 TVs and they're both either QD-OLED or WOLED.

LEDs might do alright in a bright room, but in no way, shape or form is an LED of any type "smoking" an OLED. Sounds like you ODed on copium.

You honestly think OLEDs can get as bright as an LED set? It's on thing to have tech you prefer but it's another to gloss over the inherent flaws of that tech to try and make it sound better. There isn't a flawless commercial TV tech right now. Whatever you pick there's trade offs.
