it was big, but at the same time people really didn't take it seriously

Pretty much...his transition from dru hill...he was pretty much a walking caricature...a walking punchline, but it worked out for him

Wild, but dude was really SANGING on this joint towards the end. his voice was great, but still mid tier for the time...NOW....shid, aint nobody out black got a voice his level he had even in his silly pop records. Not even beyonce. Lets not even mention the other drivel getting pushed, god

Hotline Bling is a good comparison

Only difference is Drake was already a huge popstar before Hotline Bling

Sisqo was popular in the R&B world before Thong Song but that was his huge crossover pop hit

Its one of those timeless songs that white people will forever love and play at parties like Nelly - Hot in Here

Dont compare that crap hotline bling to thong song
Thong song was bigger than that

I remember those days this song played almost fukking everywhere... the thing is it was catchy, fire and the beat was sick at the same time. the song wasnt corny at all... :manny: one of those hits that will go down in history as being a club banger of it's time....
It was definitely corny.

This song made thongs become everyday underwear for women. :ahh:

Uptempo crossover hit. Big song, but you can tell it had "made for mainstream" written all over it.

Around that time everything was about crossing over, so it was kinda cool.

He fell off the map something crazy.

I appreciate and value your insight big bro, I'm wondering if there are any such videos of this song playing in those big clubs back in the day :ohhh: Sisqo was ON ONE! Sure his other releases after his second album were frisbee-status but he must have been on top of the world during that period :wow:

I can't even think about Melyssa Ford the same way knowing she was smutted out in her prime by this chrome-haired RnB singer :to:

Damn, I didn't realize how awkward and corny he was :scusthov:
