I actually agree with you here. When I used to approach women I never pushed the issue if she said she wasn't interested, had a bf, married whatever. Doing that IS harassment. Me approaching and initiating conversation ISNT. That's where my resentment comes from. Women are calling harassment when it's not appropriate or applicable in certain situations.I think that it would be a good start if used with logic and common sense.
I don´t see a problem in a man approaching a woman to say a compliment or even say whatever they wanna say, it´s very simple to just ignore. The problem is when AFTER the woman ignores / rejects, some men keep pushing it and that´s when it becomes harrasing. That´s what I think it should be controlled.
I am used to being catcalled and if it´s just that, I really don´t care, just ignore... But it happened to me once that even after I asked the guy to stop he kept walking behind me and chasing me for 3 blocks saying stuff... That´s what I think is fukked up and should stop NOW.
