The problem with Perfect is that his finisher didn't "hurt" anyone.

No one believed that a hold based on leverage could defeat a monster (Hogan) who could just flex and break the hold.

Plus, Vince didn't respect technical wrestling. If not for Bret Hart a long line of technical wrestlers would still be viewed as IC/US level talent.

Perfect got big at the wrong time, but his talent transcends era. And I loved the fact that he was serious as a heart attack yet cool as a mu'fuxa. (Of topic, but imagine Henning and Rude as a tag team.)

Hogan put away just about everyone in the business with a leg drop.
Warrior's finishing move was a body splash

The Perfect-plex was a great finisher, when he locks his hands, its hard to kick out

He is definitely underrated and is one of the best heels of all time IMO. It's too bad back then he was overshadowed by Ric Flair even though he was a better heel then Flair.

Put him today's WWE, and he's a main eventer for sure.

But his window probably shrinking aince he already 35 :to:

Wouldn't be a star in WWE (too much baggage), but he SHOULD'VE been a mega, mega star for TNA (as much as that can be applied to TNA guys). From the moment he walked into TNA, Pope was over as hell with the fans, and he was on a roll at the beginning of 2010 where the fans really wanted him to beat Styles for the belt.

But, of course, they fukked it up.

Pope should've been a star SOMEWHERE. He had it all, yet his situation kept getting screwed up at every turn.

Since when is Kerry von Erich considered a "midcarder?" He beat Ric Flair for the NWA title back in 84 when it still mattered. Just because the WWF didn't use him properly, doesn't mean he's a mid-carder.

You're right. Kerry was a main eventer from day 1. The same goes for Kevin and David. Dudes were huge throughout the midwest. Touring Japan on the regular.
