not just that, but NFL 2K5's presentation was godly.

From draft coverage, to weekly highlights, to commentary.

Just makes zero sense that EA CAN'T incorporate those things 12 years later

And the challenge/penalty system in 2K5 is still better than Madden smh

EA just cares about money

On Microsoft First Party NBA game NBA Inside Drive you could get ejected or receive techs for hitting the referees in the game. When you went for Technical Fouls in the game the animations were wild so sometimes you could hit the ref get ejected etc..

One of the best NBA games the last three generations many of the developers went to 2k and 2k had that resurgence.

Harvest moon was another series bad about tossing gameplay out the window in sequels. :jbhmm:
You really need to play multiple iterations of harvest moon(at least HM64 onward) to get the full experience.

I cannot tell you the numerous incredible features that Star Wars Galaxies had for an MMORPG. Especially it's crafting systems and player-housing systems. You could build a house anywhere on a planet as long as its 1000m away from a starport, and the ENTIRE planet was traversable, and when I mean entire planet I mean entire planet, it would take 12 hours to traverse an entire planet by walking. There were thousands of items and you could place them EXACTLY where you wanted in your house using X Y Z coordinates, so people had elaborately decorated player housing like this. Any item was droppable so you could use anything for decoration. Players could create their own fukking cities with zoning rights and faction bases. Then people could raid your city and attempt to destroy your faction base that you put in your city.

And the crafting system was incredible. There was an analysis tool that you had to use on the soil that analyzed the type and quality of material you could harvest from whatever ground you were standing on and then you would have to build and place refineries to harvest the material. And you could literally traverse the ENTIRE planet. So crafters would walk around scanning for the best quality resources to craft their items with. The result of this is that as say, a Weaponsmith, you could actually make a name for yourself by obtaining the best resources and in turn crafting the best and most powerful items. I still remember the famous weaponsmiths from my server. Saying you had a "fatal-one" weapon was like saying you had a hattori hanzo sword. I have never ever seen another game like that.

There were other incredible aspects of this game as well. Sony Online Entertainment ruined this game. I'll never have an experience like it again. It was insanely innovative and ever since WoW came out every other game just tries to copy it. Star Wars Galaxies was an incredibly unique experience that will never be duplicated. Especially the way they handled jedi.

gta san andreas

you could lift weights, you had to eat or your health would go down and actually had to go in restaurant, you could gamble in casino, gamble on horse races, go to the lot physically and buy a new whip...

Yup, and not to mention all the various fighting styles they let you learn like boxing, kickboxing, karate, etc..
GTA 5 is one of my fav games but it's definitely lackluster compared to GTA San Andreas :francis:

They removed the horror in dead space 2 and 3.

They also removed the horror in resident evil 5 and 6.

I'm still a bytch when it comes to any horror game but yeah, I could only beat the first game in broad daylight that wasn't an issue for the sequels. I actually got used to 2 and 3 by the end... EA always reaching for an L.

Hopefully there's less of their shenanigans for ME:A.

Playing Battlefield 2 on my PC right now and I was wondering why the hell EA removed the all destructable environments.

I recall on previous Maddens if a player was injured and could play, he would have added protection on like his ankle etc..

Xbox OG allowed you to replace your music with the game music shyt was tough.

On Snes or Sega Genesis don't remember but on the NHL game whenever you finish your game you could watch the final seconds or minutes of a game still playing after your game.
360 as well. Man that was dope AF during Street Fighter IV marathons.
