i waas watching the 30 30 no mas episode, brilliant. the first fight then leading to the rematch is just some golden essence of boxing man..wow. and to think how he missed out on floyd v pac..fukk man.

poor ken norton..the only heavyweight champion to never win a heavyweight championship fight..and granted he was gifted that title in every sense of the word so you can say its karma that he wouldn't keep it

If I recall correctly, they agreed not to fight each other because they were good friends outside the ring.
But if they did it would've been a great fight. I think Frazier would've KO'ed Norton

THE title should've probably already been in his possession after the 3rd Ali fight
And they were fighting over a paper title anyway... Norton was supposed to face Spinks for the Undisputed/Lineal title but Spinks dropped the WBC to rematch Ali..this version of Norton would've destroyed Spinks and beat the '78 version of Ali clearly.
This fight could've easily went his way as well or been a draw...i had Holmes edging him due to that last round.
That would've been an interesting mismesh of styles.
