Once someone leaves your house, and is trying to flee, you aren't given free reign to chase them down and shoot them in the back. She had already surrendered, and he made a choice to kill that woman. His life was in no way threatened so he wasn't justified in taking hers and maybe (if we believe this dumb bytch) the life of her unborn child.

I don't think this is true. Criminals target those who they perceive to be weak. Why come back to a house when KNOW the owner to be armed, when they could go to a house next door and get just as good of a come up and probably have less of a chance of getting shot. People who thieve aren't trying to have a shoot out! They're just looking for quick money to feed their kid or drug habit or whatever.

You can kill someone in self defense if they're in your home but I'm pretty sure this guy chased them outside of the house before he killed her.
