He'll get killed. He isnt that good of a one on one defender and will be in foul trouble cause he plays very aggressive on defense

he's actually been very solid this year, stays infront of his man and rarely bites on pump fakes. laterally he understands how to hedge off smaller guards.

Plan A: deal with Perk for $9 mil a year

Plan B: keep Jeff Green, sign him to a $9 mil a year extension and then find out that he has a heart condition.

Even if they amnestied Perk and signed Harden, they'd still be on the hook for paying Perk his $8 mil, which is what Harden's contract extension would have cost in lux tax money. Either way they were stuck unless they could see the future.

:whoo::upsetfavre: how about amnesty perk before this season ? They didn't have to extend him automatically or keep him and trade harden. They paying ibaka for what ?? They could've gotten a big body for cheap

should've started him from the jump. Now they see what they're missing now that he can stunt on the rockets. Harden is too good to be a 6th man, IDGAF about Thabo's defense. KD should've manned up and guarded bron

Kd on chalmers in the finals ?:smugfavre:now that's a scary site .
I think brooks needs to realize there isn't really any Bron stoppers all try to do Is try to play him hard and make him take difficult shots .
Look at Melos defense on Bron then look at kd:noah:

They'd still be on the hook for paying Perk, so they may as well have been paying luxury tax.

Now if your argument is to keep Harden and trade Ibaka (and then still getting rid of Perk), now you have no bigs and you're paying Harden max money to still come off your bench. There's a huge flaw in that design (and had they done that, we'd have the same criticisms of the Thunder had Ibaka been dealt and been the defensive force he is on another team)

If people were wondering

Dwight averages

16/12 on 52% Shooting vs Kendrick in the RS(24 games)

Playoffs

18.9/14.2 on 56% shooting vs kendrick in the playoffs(13 games)

You sure about these numbers? :usure:

From what i remember Dwight was horrible against the Celtics. Id always be rooting for Orlando and Dwight would always disappoint me

I think the Perkins trade was the marriage of where sports reputation (he's a winner/The Celtics couldn't win without him) meets ability (average to below average center) forces a team into acquiring a player.

You see it happen all the time. Ie.....THE JETS ACQUIRING TEBOW!! :to:

In fairness there is some truth to the "sports reputation" shyt in the NBA. Thats why you see so many players on championship teams and contenders recycled on to other championship level teams (latest example Ray Allen).

But of course thats not cuz of a "winning character" or any other spooky bullshyt. Its usually cuz they have proven they can play a role or serve purpose. But Perkins doesn't serve any purpose other than chest beating and mean mugging...

Or they could've just kept Green and Let him expire or atleast traded him for a pick, then re-sign harden at max. :mjpls:
