- Lofton Jr. only had two buckets against him (one of which was blocked and he got a fortunate bounce back to himself); they rarely matched up against one another.
- Lofton Jr. is two and half years older than him.

I don't even know why you'd bring up that game, much less try to use it to state Wembanyama got dominated.
If he is what y’all say he is he would’ve guarded him the whole game and age don’t matter
France might have won if somebody stepped up and guarded dude

Lofton Jr. came off the bench.

Wembanyama was primarily matched up against Chet, because they both played the same position (center) and were starters. Lofton Jr was at the 4 when he was on the floor. Never mind the fact they weren't even on the floor at the same time for a good portion of the game.

I remember people saying Luka was slow footed and he wouldn't be able to run the league like he did the Euros. And look what happened. A guy with Wemba's combination of size, dribbling ability, shotmaking is going to dominate the league. And he's a generational talent on the defensive end. I just don't see how you guys think being slow is gonna stop him in any significant way.

Not as high on him as other people because I think the shooting claims are very overblown

He is slow footed. But that form is wet wet. And he is smooth on the court.

When it comes to atheletes like this, with skills and talent in abundance, it will be ambition and being injury free that will show how great they will be.

He has one of the most fluid and functional gaits I've seen from someone at that height. It's scary how normal he moves. It doesn't make any sense.

Which is why I don't quite understand the critique of him being "slow footed" when it's his stride that allows him to cover ground.

I mean, does anymore need to be said?
