I said that in the thread when he played the g league team. How much it matters might be irrelevant if he has all the other pieces. Both Jokic and Embiid are slow footed and they do just fine

I'm watching the highlights like :patrice::jbhmm:

- For a very thin 7'2" guy, the only advantage you can have is if you can play like Ralph Samson or Marcus Camby. Athletic and Fast. He doesn't play like either of them at all. He's not fast enough to blow by bigger stockier centers, and he's obviously doesn't have the size to defend them either. And he's not a leaper at all. He will struggle with legit big men in the paint. I can see even a power forward like Sabonis abusing him

- His selling point is that he plays like KD. What good is that if he's slow footed? Do you know how easy it would be for a smaller guard to strip him and cause turnovers whenever he puts the ball on the floor? I can imagine him going against Dejounte Murray or Marcus Smart or Jrue Holiday and it being a nightmare for him

- He can shoot 3's from time to time. Cool, that isn't an amazing attribute anymore in modern day NBA

- Nothing against the young breh himself, wish him nothing but the best. But you know how ESPN and the media will overhype alot of players to fatten their pockets

The 18-year old Wembanyama, who recently measured 7-foot-4 barefoot with an 8-foot wingspan

The nba already has thin bigs like chris boucher, bol bol, pokusevski and they are doing just fine

:gucci:THEYRE PRIMARY POST PLAYERS.

ehhh not sure about that. They both operate a lot around the top of the key
either way i'm not sure concern about his speed has anything to do post play but more so transition D or closing out on big men who can shoot in this modern NBA

I’ll take him number one but a lot of rockets fans are skeptical about him because they remember how Yao and Sampson career ended. . But man that big rotation of Jabari, Sengun, Garuba and Wemby :whew: Only Silas could fukk that up

It would be a damn crime for Victor to be on the Rockets. NBA needs to intervene and send him anywhere but there and Detroit.
It'll be another 2013 Thunder situation.

Those players were not being called the next KD
What's your point? Speed is based on a number of kinetic factors, not just weight
His point is those players don't play a style where speed is necessary and using them as examples of why one shouldn't be concerned about slow feet doesn't work.
