I disagree. Again...what were you dudes expecting from a Mariah Carey remix with Joe on it?

dawg, nas is never in his element if it the project is not culture driven.
i don't know why people try to fake like nas is this versatile talent outside of culturally accepted sonic landscapes.

the only landscape he was great on that was not his bread and butter was, hot boyz.

Can somebody break down to me who Droog is and what he has to do with Nas? I'm legit clueless about what folks are talking about here...

:patrice:

droog = the 2014 nas impressionist version of what if.
someone, like angelous decided to copy nas instead of jayz.

That voice he had on "I Can" :mjlol:

I'm disgusted and flabergasted that "I Can" was his biggest hit.

WIDELY KNOWN CONFESSION:

i like, i can by nas.

it was an okay attempt at him trying to get out his typical comfort zone and emulate slick rick.
without necessarily, being slick rick like jay used to try to impersonate.

Yea, how'd he do on this with his better half:

You really don't wanna go back and forth digging into Nas' and Jay's discography looking for bad tracks because we ALL know you gonna lose.

we actually know jay is going to attempt to make huff records.
then, lead on his best of all time pr to get over on the whole world.
nas, on the other hand.
is supposed to be a more commendable culture based artist.
who is really a jiggy sellout.
who tries to latch himself on to a draw, and culture.
he no longer really gives a fukk about like that.
as far as the culture is concerned.

that is why the idea and then the actualization of nas making the pisspoor outing and records he makes is so striking.

nas, is like what if bob marley and black uhuru made pom pom p*ssy gyal.

N!ggas sh!tting on Nas' I Can...come and defend your boy Camel

:stopitslime:

anything,..
now, you reaching.
this is argueably jay's last much needed record.
plus, the last record and only record he made as a follow up to hardknock life.

this is a classic record, joe.

show you did not have the in my lifetime bootleg, joe.
show, you did not buy the first beanie siegel and were disappointed.
with beanie lyrically, output wise on his first record, breh.

Damn, Jay

giphy1.gif

technical skill wise this is the blueprint to being able to make a jiggy verse, breh.

you gotta try again,..jay murders this actual record and it is a blueprint to being able to master the ability to make a jiggy commercial record on any sonic landscape till it was made.

you can't be a dope rapper in this gen, if you don't master what jay did on this record.

nas, could actually learn from this verse on making jiggy and commercially accessible records.

yes, the hook execution makes it one of the most horrific records all together.
yet, jay was actually legendary as a technical marvel on this record.
this is the blueprint to the jiggy verse by simple x's and o's, period.

you gon have to try, again........

again, nas should not even be making records in any realm that is jiggy.
that is why nas is so bad on records where he is out of his element.
as culturally, and as an emcee by rubrick and skill.
nas, was never and will never come from that.
so, he will never excell, and should never even EVER be making records like this, PERIOD.

nas lost his way artistically and culturally right after illmatic on the one luv twelve inch.
then, all the way on IWW.
to the point of no return....
to the point,..
i have not heard fully potent nas since here and there in ramp up period because he was going at jay.

other than that or the general, nas has not been nas since the feature run of greatness on linx and mobb's infamous.

Ayyyy @Walt, I'll take Make It Last Forever remix over this hot plate of sh!t anyday

this was a dope record, and the hate for it and the juvie record, on in my lifetime is bullshyt.
arguably between this, odb and the busta feature.
these are the best mariah with a rapper feature, probably ever.
don't know how or why the review for iml iii, were so pisspoor and offkey as fukk.
truely the most inaccurrately rated album in jay's discography.
plus, the last time jay was jay for a whole project.

First Stan to admit Droog is nicer than Nas at this exact moment gets the prize.

if nas did not punch in, so much after illmatic.
plus, had some rhymebooks to go back to and revisited illmatic by piggybacking off his own flows.
like the impersonators and biters did,...
maybe nas would be as potent as he should be.
yet, he lost his way skill wise and culturally so long ago.
i doubt he, even remembers or knows these things about his skills anymore.

on top, of never making commercial bpm based sellout production based records in bulk since IWW.
which would have kept the sweetspot of the new influx of listeners.
from the world wide marketing of leo burnett for hiphop in 1996.
nas would have never had to move from his comfort zone.
plus, kept the sonic landscape and palate, from being changed in the mecca.
he would have never had to make music out of his cultural arena, and forced the market to adhere to his choices.

when, he decided to follow steve stout and the trackmasters.
turning his back on being the second coming of the protectors of the culture.
who kept rap from being where we are now.
by attacking hammer and anyone faking jax

he, ruined the cultural protection mechanisms for the culture and the sound sonically for the culture.
where it is now,....
which, allowed anyone who emulated his technical skill based to deviate.
plus, created the arguement for sellouts to be accepted for selling out.
not to mention, he never stood his ground as the most important cultural figure and wrinkle in time for rap.
in the past twenty years,...

nas = darth vader of rapper

the nikka is annakin skywalker in the flesh.

How did this turn into a Nas vs. Jay thread though? As if I give a fukk about Jigga.

ever since, jay made a fake apology, to pac fans on hardknock life and vol ii.
to get the trickle down effect draw from tupac fans who were in the void.
after the death of pac/big shattered rap's glass ceiling.
by making a play to say RIP, to big and lump pac into it as well.

jay fans became just as rabid and cult like as tupac fans.
that same reaction, during the time jay was being chased down by nas/fatjoe/prodigy.
arose a nas stan who was vinidicated and became equally as rabid a cult as jay/pac fans.
so, they could feel they were more in the right to do the same thing they saw pac/big/jay fans do.

shyt is a clown move, and nuffin more than bullshyt to cover up their jealousy,
for the success, for artist who also sold out.
then, try to make it like nas never sold out like pac/big/jay as well.

by coming at you on some pac fan emotional type bs, for nas.
like they saw pac fans hijack most public rap discussions, and forums.

OP actually claiming this isn't a troll thread?? :mjlol:

how is this a troll thread.
when, people who were praising droog were guilty of basically championing a wack impersonator.

people who praised droog, and thought it was nas.
is like saying mic geronimo, fat joe, to eminem on infinite should have never suffered backlash.

the problem with nas/jay/pac/big stans is.

they try to act like they are above being called out for championing the shyt that ruins the culture.
all because they lack the real understanding of the culture and just blind pop fans.
all from the mtv marketed era and run of their largest drawing era's.
most nas stans did not even know illmatic existed when, IWW was out, and for a time after that.
then, try to front like they are original nas fans like that and the selling out is okay.

when, any original nas fan always call nas out for selling out.

the only original nas fans who keep it real exist on this board.

they are:

big mel
mr sam : fresh aig
walt

art barr

the rest of y'all some stans and don't keep it real to the culture.

so i know how real you are.
plus, how you try to hide behind this fake nas panders to the culture bullshyt.
that has been going on close to twenty years, now.
