The relationship is over if anyone cheats as far as anyone should be concerned precisely BECAUSE of shyt like this. Someone getting payback. These people are barely in their 30s. They weren't emotionally mature enough for serious relationships because if they were they wouldn't even be in this situation.

Cheating is a violation of trust. Unless they have an understanding that they can sleep with other people, that trust is violated and it's not coming back. Bury the relationship and learn how to co parent.
