So I just caught up…

This feels like the worst season so far. The Tigress arc is the only story line I’ve truly enjoyed. I appreciate what they tried to do with the racism and identity angle, but other than that and Connor’s death, the Marz arc fell kinda flat. Maybe it will be revealed that it has laid the groundwork for future stories.

This Zatanna arc

Her and the Sentinels got their ass beat for five episodes straight. I don’t even think Zatanna got a single hit in. I thought Dr. Fate was supposed to be a beast, but they had him looking like a damn scrub. I can’t believe they had bad luck girl defeat Flaw with one simple spell

Anticlimactic as hell. And it’s so messed up that Zatanna recruited these kids just to offer them up as sacrifices to Nabu. Khalid was meant to be a medical doctor, I don’t think this was the fate he had in mind

Zatanna did Mary wrong. Flaw probably would’ve killed all of them if it wasn’t for Mary holding it off. I’m really curious to see what happens to her next. I hope they don’t make her a villain.

This Beast Boy stuff

I don’t think we needed a scene in every episode showing us how depressed he is. I think he got more screen time then M’Gann

The only two things that I really liked from this arc are the Magic School Bus and Vandal Savage’s origin story.

I still don't understand why they didn't and haven't just duped Fate into not putting the helmet back on. It's not like he'd be able to do anything about it anyways. It's why I said a while ago that he found the perfect fool in Zatarra.

I also still don't understand why the league didn't just take the helmet from the team in the first place instead of letting them keep it as a souvenir. They were well aware of how powerful it was yet still let a group of teenagers keep it in their possession.

The issue is he really is their top defense against evil magic. Eventually someone has to put that Helmet on and Zatarra was such a decent man he took that burden. If anything he and Nabu should have negotiated better so he could have had a life outside the helmet but he was a idiot in that regard.

With as long as that helmet has been in play, I'm sure that Kent Nelson wasn't the first person to screw over Nabu in not putting the helmet back on, so I'm curious as to why he picked him and the people after to make his stance.

I think y'all were too hard on this show, yeah it started slow but that set the pace in serious tone with the other storylines, I enjoyed the Artermis storyline the best then the "child-zatanna" storyline next.

dr fate is one of those greater good scenarios, he's one of the most powerful earth based mystics and if he wasn't there Klarion and other evil mages would run amok.

If that's the route they're going, then they need to trim the episode count so the quality of episodes will improve. They should have just ended the Garfield storyline this episode so we can focus elsewhere.

They really are adapting the trash ass Mary Bromfield/Apokolips story from the comics, but at least they gave a storyline explanation for her heel turn.

The Fate/successor storyline makes no remote sense. If Zatanna was dirty enough to use her proteges in order to take the helmet off her father, then why didn't they just refuse to put the helmet on after making the deal? It's not like Fate could do shyt about it if they did.

Zatara told her off even though she was hypocritical, Mary seems to be power hungry. That's what I took from it.

There was the other Superboy clone from season 1 that was just a mindless ball of rage with Superman's full power set. Put the helmet on him to give Naboo full control of a powerful basically immortal kryptonian body that doesn't age. Problem solved forever.
