I do not understand why this show has had Phil Lamarr and Kevin Michael Richardson, two of the most prominent black voice actors of the last 20 years, if not ever, doing voice work for this show but they have Khary Payton voicing every single black character while they voiced Aquaman and Martian Manhunter.

While the old timers and the Outsiders are going to hog the show

It's nice and refreshing.... knowing that The West can produce animation this.... layered, built, complex and adult without just doing dumb fluff written for 12 year olds while adding violence, nudity and frat humor.

I wish american animation was treated as a legit storytelling medium without resorting to the Disney formula.

Think of all of the non-comic stories you could do/adapt. It's like a legit open market.



All those sub plots hit me like I got caught in the rain. All those memories. My blood literally curdled when I seen Glorious Godfrey on the screen.

As far as american animation goes, DCAU is a masterclass level benchmark.
